I have dreamed about starting to play the game for some time, and now that time has come!
I am looking for some noob-friendly player, who are playing the game, because I dont understand sh*t out of it.
Any discordians into it?!
Search is your friend, even if that would have been an epic gravedig.
The game is difficult to play, and the learning curve is STEEP. I played it for about a month and stopped after that. I don't want to play a game that takes as much time to learn as a regular full time job. Though, once you master it and get in a large corperation, the battles are EPIC. Like Freelancer x1000.
Just look on Youtube at some of the "EvE Online Battles". Insane.
EVE online is an awesome game.. BUT. Its the type of game that has a very specific player base in mind, imo. you will either like it or you'll curse the game for wasting however minutes you spent playing it. furthermore, the first month (yes, month) will be exceedingly boring for new characters, because apart from spamming level 1,2 missions for rep and exploring space, you cant really do much, since the first month (maybe two) are spent just vigorous skill training in mind.
There is alot going on in the eve world- everything is controlled by the players. the market, the warfare bit, sovereignty in 0.0 space, bounties, privateering, mining etc. every thing is based on what players do.
so if you can get through the first month or so without feeling the urge to quit, and better yet, if you can find a group of people who you can play the game with, it'll be exceedingly better experience for you than it would be solo.
when i first started eve, i quit cuz the game was flipping hard to understand at first. second time round, made new account, got an invite from a friend (and thus, i got a 21 day trial instead of standard 14), and the group of mates i played with explained most of the stuff i hadnt figured out/read up on. now im part of a huge 0.0 alliance in the vale of the silent (one of the regions up north:P) and play with loads of people, having massive fights etc.
