I'd advise no emoticons, but as long as you keep your chat within reasonable limits (asterisks are good), obody can nail you. A fighte might stay and fight if it's not part of a convoy, and a Capship's going nowhere fast, but a trader is supposed to un away. That's what they do. You did nothing wrong.

count. Interpreting the rules is where most of the problems are coming from ...
The F1 rule is for combat, and running ... NOT sitting on a base when you have got away.

Ok i was a former member of NovaPG as most of u know. This taunting thing is Part of what we do to get the Trader/fighter Agatated and come out and than we (Well cant say that because that would be giveing away there stratagy/weekness) But never have i heard one of them say that a trader was out of RP never. In my oppinion you were perfictly in RP. The NovaPG may have though u were disrupting game play as a Out of RP sortathing if you know what i meen. Me being a pirate/terrorist I got alot of this docking/taunting/insults throwen at me and saying that i was out of RP and i should not be attaing traders. But no u are not out of RP just stick to your trade rout and just hand over what they demand. Usualy its about 5mill. 5mill is easly regaind but if you dont pay up they will constantly kill you and take/Destroy your cargo, so its your choise 5mill loss for a day of tradeing or, over 100mill lost from a day of being killed and not makeing any money?

Continual harassment of one trader could be seen as a reason to get a little agitated, maybe be equated as a
bit of PvP chasing ? Or even disrupting gameplay yourself with too much trashtalk.
If the trader docks, call it a day, you lose that round ... Just say "Next time mate" and move on. He aint going
to come out and match up a train with a few fighters is he ... Get real.
It works both ways in this situation, don't drop to either level. Target rich environment out there.

You did fine. They taunt you, you taunted them. No problem.

Thing is emotionally we all get a bit excitable when some thieving pirates comes after us and its easy to get carried away in 'on screen chat' (I have been guilty of swearing in the past at the injustice of my on screen death!) but then if you had just lost your ship, cargo and launched an excape pod in real life you'd most certainly let a few 'gosh-darn-its' out!

Top tip....spend some of the cash on another character parked well away from your troubles so when this happens next time you can park up and leave it there and turn your attention to your other ship. And before anyone even toys with the idea of flaming that as non-RP think-on. Having just evaded cut-throat pirates your ship would need repairs and you would need a stiff drink. Both of which mean you wouldn't rush out to die in open space just to satisfy the blood lust of a one-eyed, parrot shouldered pirate!

I will say that you did good RP there m8. Pirates may disagree with me, but Trying to get away from the pirates and outrun them is as much RP for the trader as getting the cash is for the pirates.
For me in my tradership it all depends on what ship the priate fly in, sometimes i start a firefight with the pirate before i pay, that makes it more fun for and for the pirate too and as a side bonus he would have to fight for his money.

If you have docked, you have the opportunity to F1 out. Messing with your persuers is good as long as the RP is respected.

Best way to play RP is to not test its limits. It can be a fragile thing.
