The Good Doctor was hunched over a large operating table in his well lit, but small lab. Tools were spread out around the room on benches, and even on the floor, blood splattered all over the walls, appearing to be the result of some kind of struggle, the general state of the room being borderline unsanitary, not that this mattered for the mans work.
On the seven foot long table, laid a man, or what was left of one. The only features of his humanity visible from his black over-suit being his pale, ghostly face. Doctor Darius Clark, lifted his welding device, closing the last seam on the suit, on the cheeks of what was formerly a normal human being. After he closed that last seam, he pressed a small red, glowing button on the side of his head, opening a cylindrical compartment, where Clark placed two green tubes coolant.
Clark placed his tools down on the small table beside him, waiting for his creation to come alive, and it did, slowly, opening its pale, taut eyes. The creature spoke in a cold mechanical tone, with a slight Bretonian accent. Diagnostic complete. Motor-function operational. No damage to frontal lobes. Cerebral implants functioning correctly.
Clark smiles a little, not showing the extent of his pride, having created a bio-mechanical life form. Clark leaned into the creature slightly, speaking in a calm, happy tone. You will be known as. Dominatus. Do you know who I am? , he asked with a smirk. Dominatus sitting up, examining its surroundings and turning to Clark. Doctor Darius Clark creator of this unit..
Clark stood up and walked to the door, exiting the room and locking the seven inch thick steel door behind him a defensive mechanism in the event that Dominatus would become hostile. Dominatus took another look around the bloodied room, his optical implants taking time to come into action, it looked to several jars, all containing body odd body parts like hands, forearms and sections of torso, before looking to its own hands, a very slight expression of curiosity crossing its face, before it was broken by the hiss of a door, Clark walking back in with some kind of scanning device.
Clark begun to scan Dominatus for imperfections, problems that werent picked up by its diagnostic software, Looks clear Try to stand, and walk. he ordered, confidently. Dominatus did so, twisting its legs of the side of the table, placing them on the ground, standing perfectly straight and proceeding to take a step. It walked awkwardly at first, not bending its knees, until it started to get the hang of it, much like an infant takings their first steps, Dominatus slowly perfected its walking ability before turning to Clark and asking, Is this satisfactory? To this, Clark nodded, another proud smirk crossing his lips.
Dominatus looked back to its hands, a small, four inch long tube extending from its left palm, at the end of the tube being multiple electrodes, like those used to monitor neural signals inside of someones body during surgery, Clark looking to the tube as well. That., that is what makes you unique Clark points to the tube as Dominatus examines it, That will allow you to gain knowledge, to learn. If force is required, you can insert that into someones head And know what they know, well, most of what they know
Clark walked to a bench, gathering some tools and putting them in their respective places, Dominatus continuing to examine his tool. Before long, Dominatus looked up to Clark, again with an expression of curiosity. This unit was created to kill? ,it asked, Clark turning to respond. Yes And no You CAN kill, but it isnt necessary. You were built to gain information through any means necessary, persuasion, force, and even extraction. Clark shook his head a little, returning to his tools as Dominatus then asked. So this unit, is a learning machine? To this, Clark only nodded his head, Dominatus thinking about this. This unit wants to leave, and complete its mission.
Clark turned to Dominatus. Not yet, you are incomplete And if you plan to leave now, you need the codes to the locks around this ship Things you dont have. Dominatus again stopped to think. But this unit, <I> can take them, is this not what I was built for?
Clark stopped, realizing what Dominatus was suggesting. You wouldnt kill me, would you? To this, Dominatus did not think of a reply, as it was already prepared.
To learn, to gain knowledge. Yes. To this Clark turned, with a look of horror on his face. You You mean You would stick that tube, in my brain? Dominatus nodded, extending the tool from his palm. Affirmative. Unless you gave up the information voluntarily.
Clark, being the coward he was, hurriedly wrote down a set of codes on a piece of paper, and gestured at the door. E-e-everything you need. He handed Dominatus the piece of paper, .Is on this sheet. Clark stuttered, pressed back against the bench, Dominatus approaching him after it had read the piece of paper. Affirmative. But <I> need more than this Dominatus said in the same, cold mechanical tone, grabbing Clark around the neck with his right hand. It is illogical to assume that you could tell <me> everything you know. Dominatus gave no expression, extending the tube from his left palm, Clark struggling and squirming in his grip, trying to break loose, but to no avail. Dominatus slowly inserted the small tube into Clarks temple, Clark kicking at his Dominatus abdomen and grabbing at its arms, making a shill scream before he finally went quiet, going limp in the machines grip as it retracted the tube.
Dominatus dropped Clarks body to the floor, a small amount of blood trickling from the hole in his right temple, Dominatus opening the door and proceeding to the rest of the ship. The ship was deserted, as Dominatus soon discovered, any bodies it found having their flesh falling away, indicating they were old, or something more nefarious had happened. Dominatus would have attempted to figure out what had gone wrong, but it was unsure of Clarks connections, so it made haste to find a ship to leave on.
Dominatus eventually approached what appeared to be a small docking station, inside which was an Eagle, obviously owned by Clark. Dominatus tried to open the hatch of the fighter, but was unable. In any normal situation it would have ripped the pane of glass away with the steel frame, but that would result in the ship being useless, so it accessed its memory unit, to scan for the codes to the ship, and said codes were found.
After Dominatus had gained access to the fighter, and made sure it was in working order, it opened the hangar doors and activated the particle shield that would keep the room safe from the vaccum. After doing so, Dominatus set foot in the fighter, looking over the panels and buttons, using Clarks, rather poor piloting skill to leave the vessel, going on its personal mission, through force if need be, never to return to the ship in which it was created.
