its a bit sad that the whole topic degraded to flood levels - when it could have been beneficial - anyway - about the OP:

Effects - Missle should look like a nova torp so GB's and caps have a hard time distinguising it from the real thing. Blast effect not so dramaatic. may be like Sunslayer. This missle will potentially mount on one of the gun slots on a bomber.
- i don t see anything like that. one of the reasons bomberweapons were separated from fighterweapons is to give fighters an edge over bomberweapons in close combat - especially removing weapons like cannonballs or paralyzers that gave bombers a good chance vs. especially their greatest enemies ( fighters )
bombers are vulnerable - and thats how it ought to be. they sacrifice unproportional amounts of defense to gain unproportional amounts of firepower vs. large vessels. its a trade off - and as such... they shouldn t gain too many support weapons or we get what we had before the weapons were changed ( an all-round small craft vs. everything )
2. Ammo on Missles on any ship
For example GB's, caps.... limit their missle ammo so we can get away from the missle spamming. I understand there is a hardcoded limit of 70 but is the number floating point? can we shoot off a quarter of a missle that would make ammo 280 in practicality? (pondering...)
that might only work if we increase the capital ships missile effectiveness by a lot. when a shot is meant to really matter ( at least cost you money ) - then the shot should actually really be worth it. - that can lead to even more spamming, cause the player that is currently shot at hardly faces more than 70 missiles anyway in a single fight ( survived 35 dual GB missiles in a dogfight lately? if you did, you don t have much problems with missile spam anyway )
3. LIGHTS...Camera ...ACTION...and more LIGHTS

lights are limited to i think 128 lights / ship - anyway - quite a lot... problem is, someone needs to hardpoint it.
Thing I want to see in next Mod? Well let me set up a list
1. Light bombers and Heavy bombers.
Light bombers should have a bit more agility, 550m/s guns (only for light bombers ofc) cd+snac, but it would a weaker snac, only for smaller caps, (like 80000/40000 or so) but they would have atleast a chance vs fighter vessels.
Heavy bombers would be with normal snac or nova, could be a bit less agile (ofc only those what are now called "agile" bombers, barghest and others could have their same speed) and maybe put on a transport shield? No it's not overpowered, they would have the same old slow bomber guns with 350m/s what can't hit nothing. But I would increase the range of both bomber guns coz honestly...What's good on bomber guns? You can't hit fighters at all, and they are not even good vs caps 'coz you need to go very close to them (700range or so), means they'll rape you.
I dont say bring back ol' bombers 'coz they were a bit godlike but c'mon, I can barely see a bomber these days, light bombers would be similar but less powerfull. And admit it, bomberwhoring was damn enjoyable back then. This could bring back -some- fun.
2. Caplimits
I know, I'm a heretic but c'mon. We could say cruisers and above would require some roleplay to obtain that ship? With admins/faction leaders approval or something? I mean write a Bio and roleplay a bit with those ships. I already met like 165165414145614 cruisers and Batleships in my short 6 months here who were like : "engagegagegageging !!11!!" Some of them atleast bothered to put an idiotic name before their notice like : "Cpt.Lolwut: Dis iz cpt lolwut engagegageging"
I dont want to take caps away coz they are a hell of a fun (I dont have a cap btw) but why give them to people who can't even speak basic english? It wouldn't require much, I'm not the best roleplayer myself, but "Nou inglisch sry, pew pew pew ))))" is really annoying.
3. Equipment

Roleplaying a freelancer/pirate/merc ect who want to be neutral from all factions it's hard coz then he can only choose from civi guns and codenames.
So I have this idea:
How about to make besides flashpoint and debi, a Civilian 4.00 gun with let's say 470 damage more energy then vampires but maybe with 750m/s
A so called "Pirate guns" would be awesome too. Pirate 8.33 4.00 amd shieldbuster. Would be sold on Freeport and Barrier maybe. And ofc other faction could use these weps too. Then for example, Rogues who want to use some shieldbusters could use "Pirate ones" instead of "Civilians"
b)
Make some equipment more diverse. I mean..
If buying for example shields, everybody picks the same 'coz there is no selection. What would it be when there would exist 3 type of shields: 1 with a huge hitpoints but low regen rate, one with huge rege but low hitpoints and one in between them. And you could make this to other stuff aswell, such as thrusters, ect.
I got some other ideas for discovery, but for now this should be enough to discuss ^^
HOUSE militaries SHIELDBUSTER guns. effective ones, too.
how is it that debs (CIVILIAN guns) are the only universally usable shieldbusters around? militaries have the incentive to make guns like that. make them.

I'd like to see different kinds of bomber guns. Currently there is only one shield choice for Capital Ships: Graviton. Does any one seriously use anything else?
Give Bombers all the different types of guns and create a little diversity. Few Particle and Plasma bomber guns would make capital ships think again about their shield choice.
Make shields REALLY do some considerable protection/handicapp against their strength/weakness, respectively.
Like Graviton shields block 3/4 or 1/2 of Laser, photon and pulse, but do the opposite against particle and plasma, not just 1/100 improvement...
OR
give armor the same capabilites as shields to block specific damage(s). Maybe a Zero-Point armor that works like Molecular shields, but an armor-hardpoint.
Would help diversify weaponry and strategy even further.

550m/s guns with like 900m range, make them a bit more agile, and there you have a it. Bombers can used again, and they are still not overpowered coz a good fighter can take it down, but atleast Bombers have guns again except for the snac, means they have a chance vs fighters
Civ 4.00 guns with 600 m/s speed and 650 m range. They'd sync with my codies.
Also, about cap restriction: It's theoretically possible to make someone take a little "literacy test" through FLHook to enable the purchase of caps. Just sayin'.
