Router doesnt work anymore

greetings

i have a linksys wrt54gc v2.0 Wlan router (cable conntected)

a few nights ago i shut of my pc gone sleeping and in the morning all lights was on (4x cable conntect, only one is in use, Power, Internet, W-Lan)

after some turning on and off he worked again for a few miuntes then windows told me that something is not working on connecting....

sometimes i get conntected to him correctly but it loose conntection after reconnect / turn off/on

W-lan point is not findable in this time too


i had a trojan on pc.....can it be that this damn thing destroyed my router???

what would you do now???

Have you tried reseting your router?

yes i did but still the same....


pc is conntected but gets no ip from router

maybe a firmware upgrade??!??!

To confirm it's your router, try connecting without it. Do a /release and /renew IP and if you can connect without any probs, it's the router for sure.

Turn it off and on again, works like a charm.

Alternatively, buy a new one or ask for a replacement from your ISP.
