Listening while Alt+Tabbed

Is there any way to hear sound from FL while alt-tabbed out? Often when on 80K + runs in cruise speed through systems to get from one jump hole to the next, I like to alt+tab out for a couple minutes while I wait. However, this makes me completely vulnerable to even a single hostile ship CDing and killing me.

Is there any way to keep the sound going when I alt-tab out?

Well theoretically if you were to run the game in window mode, you could just run your other programs with it behind them, therefor you wouldnt have to use alt tab. I heard of a program on the net that runs DirectX games that dont support window mode, in window mode. Ill look up the link to the program.

You can run freelancer in windowed mode if you open up the properties list from the shortcut and where you see the target:

"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Freelancer\EXE\Freelancer.exe"

stick this:

"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Freelancer\EXE\Freelancer.exe" -window

Ach. You can't switch between window and full screen mid-game.

There is a key combination...It might just be for media player. Alt + Enter or Shift + Enter

I think its media player only. Have a go :cool:

No, you can't switch between Window and Fullscreen in game. You have to shut it down and click on the differnet shortcut.
