Cut smugglers a break; we were Roleplaying in group chat and having a great time until you attacked us in 37 and chased us to Alpha.
It's really, REALLY dangerous for you guys to go to Alpha; it's the Outcast home system; the home system of your enemy. I would THINK that such a well-established faction exercises caution, but apparently not.
Think about your moves both in and out of roleplay, like this:
"Should my character risk his/her life in the next system?"
"Is it right for me to do this as not only a character but a player?"
That's all I ask, really.
A way a lone a last a loved a long the riverrun, past Eve and Adam's, from swerve of shore to bend of bay,
brings us by a commodius vicus of recirculation back to Howth Castle and Environs.
Could you describe this all in more detail because a "trip" to Alpha can be justified and unjustified and it's not really clear what all the circumstances were.
Feel free to also mention names.

A convoy of Rogue smugglers about ten minutes ago, including the Big Sexy Beast, which was the first ship.
I'd appreciate it if you addressed the other issues, such as entering the home system of an enemy faction.

Again, please describe the situation further so I can actually answer your qualms.
There are perfectly legitimate reasons for the Colonial Remnant to perform strategic hit and run minor or in some cases larger attacks on Omicron Alpha, especially its edge.
If you don't get what I mean I can explain further.
Oh and, by names I meant Colonials.

21:17 my time (GMT+1) received warning of a possible huge slave convoy headed my way. I scramble and catch up withvthem at the T37 hole in T23. stopped and followed on impulse to the Alpha hole, convoy jumped without sustaining damage due to little applique firepoer on our side.
I decided to have the unit jump through and attempt recommencing the engagement. "I didn't know" what was on the other side, but hoped to claw away at least some part of the convoy before it can reach the planet. And I did. And we clubbed the MNS Shadow and a few indie Sabres (think there even was an X-shuttle) to break off and retreat. Two 13th fighters chased us a good 15k sough from the Alpha hole in 37. Looks like a hit and run as far as I;m concerned - we RPly crept in, blasted something valuable and bounced out before a major quantity of enemy units could be made spaceborne.
I'm not going to get into whether it's right that nobody should ever dare to violate the sancta sanctorum of Omicron Alpha with his defiling presence - I know I have that right same as Outcasts have every right to come with a wad of big ships and blast my ass off right next to Java. (Which they often do too)
So like I said, I don't see myself doing anything damnable, I shot off only one out of maybe four total freighters, I rouged up the two other and had my guys wreck several otherwise useless Outcasts (the fact they died so easily speaks for itself). I didn't see myself invading because I was aware due to past experience, that the longer I'd stay in Alpha the more of those better Outcasts would show up. Therefore after accomplishing all attainable goals I ordered a general retreat all the way back to T23.
edit: @ Swift, names were me, Pavel, Mao, Dutch one ICMG, Dan from IMG; Might have forgotten someone.
You guys were within three or four klicks of Malta. That seems sneaky to you?

A Hit and Run doesn't mean you hunt a Convoy into a Home System, fly up close to the Planet, kill those newer Players and fly off when the 101st arrive, which has actually been the only one of them.
Also, why do you compare Java (silly rotten Mining Outpost) with Omicron Alpha, especially the Planet's Defense and Valetta's own Defense. (Since you were fighting there). I know why you had that "Cannot attack Omicron Alpha" removed from your ID, because the Outcasts were attacking your Home System, so you started to bitch around crying unfair.
Now you can do that, and aren't better. At all.

Why not? Because the base's guns can't hit me or because the imaginary grand fleets of dreads that are lurking about Alpha are out there?
Yer superior on paper, guys. SOmetimes, the inferior, puny miners have the upper hand, and then you whine you got bitten by a yorkshire terrier in the ass.
It's good to see that a Faction Leader does not give a damn about Role Play. As it is how it is I am out here, hoping I will never meet a Colonial again as I know that I don't really have to expect anything, not even from the Leader himself.
Bai.
