Eversman jogged into the lounge after his fitness routine. He walked to the bar in a relaxed manner whilst panting and wiping the annoyance of sweat on his forehead. He sat tensely at the bar and ordered some water, but no drinks, it wasn't the time. He tapped the table gently, and continued doing so to attract some attention, as he knew no one in what seemed like a foreign planet.
Freisener wanted to rest. There was no mercy on tiring limbs these days. The assaults grew stronger and stronger by the day, and the Pride was being over-worked. Luckily, he could still get some rest.
Scanning the room, he found an anomaly. a Civilian captain, garbed in zoner clothes, and obviously injured. He searched through his head for something that would fit, and remembered. That incident with the zoner transport. It's crash landing.
Whoever that guy is, he's crazy he thought wryly to himself. Walking over to take the seat opposite, he introduced himself.
David Freisener here. You must be the zoner captain that crash-landed, right?
(Foster looks at the man) Yes David Freisener please have a seat. (David Freisener sits and Foster Orders a Beer for David) Just Like i promised Captain (he starts asking questions) How are you Captain ? Freisener whats the status of my 2 CO-Pilots ? What did you manage to salvage from the transport? (Captain already knew the answer but he was trying to make a conversation) (Foster zips from the beer he had whit the 3 Hot Dogs) What do you think of my style of Flying yea i know that crash landing its not good but it takes also guts to do it. ?
Well....Both of your co-pilots are alive, if injured. They are being tended to in the hospital wards. Not much is left of your ship....you did manage a fine landing though.
A wry grin crosses his face as he recalls the captain's crazy dive into Toledo's atmosphere.
I thought you had lost it. But somehow you managed it, most of your transport is gone, but nothing which can't be fixed. You got any plans for the future, with your transport trashed?
(Foster Reply) Plans for the future at this moment i m gonna wait for my Co-Pilots to Recover then we will think how to get out of here. I sanded a message to the Zoner Defense but their reply was " Sorry captain Foster all Zoner ships are currently bissy " and i tryd to contact my Liberty Sponsor but he wasn't available so we are stuck here. Why do you ask captain? (Foster eats from the Hot dog ) Captain i know your thinking that i am crazy or something like that but as old tradition says the Captain Must go down with his ship. I managed to see an option to save my life and some of my ship but now it cannot be rebuild. Did you manage to Analise the remains of the Hull did you find that Nomad weapon that managed to get this mess started? And please drink your beer.
I don't drink. Not regularly. Your ship was to say the least....obliterated. Nothing remained, and we couldn't find the nomad weapon.
He nods.
I understand the concept of honour, and a captain's love for his ship. Your decision was foolhardy, but it was honorable. Until the zoners can fix up something for you, you could stick around on Toledo for a few days.
Tired of waiting around for someone to introduce him, Eversman went to sit next to the lady who just walked in. He was about to order a drink for her, but she ordered it herself. He went and sat next to her looked at her blankly, in a strange manner, pulling something out of his pocket.
Jason and Iro entered the room. While walking over to the bar Jason waved over to Freisener.
With 2 Liberty Ale's in his hands he sat down and started to talk with Iro.
Only a few minutes later also Jack entered the room and joined Jason and Iro.
