[color=#FFFFFF]Bonjour,

Today i was scrambled from the Beauvrey in response to certain strange signals coming from the upper border-worlds, namely Champagne and Lorraine. They were what appeared to be Sirian ships, and as such we were dispatched to hunt them down and eliminate them. Brfore long, and before leaving Burgundy heavy ion storms struck, and i was forced back to within the station shields of Dijon, where i waited for a few minuites until it was safe to continue on.

By the time it was deemed safe though, new orders had some through, a Maquis ship had been sighted heading for Dijon, and along with Athenias i was sent to intercept it before it could reach the station, and possibly attempt another terrorist attack. It stopped 7 klicks from the station, and unusually did not move towards the station, or fire any Bombs, Anti-matter shots or similar projectiles at it. Instead it began broadcasting more propaganda, and instead of destroying the ship, we opted for a more cunning aproach. Namely showing the people of Dijon in detail how false their desperate claims against the Crown are. This proved very successfull, as no doubt hearing for themselves how wrong the rebels are will have lifted the peoples morale, if it needed lifting at all.

One thing did emerge from her ramblings that was slightly disturbing, it seems the Maquis have taken to using children as human bombs. This just shows how perverted and desperate the rebels are becoming, they strap bombs to children and send them to die. The sooner we pacify the rebellion the better if this is what they are resorting to.

Eventually she gave up as it was evident her lies and malicious attacks on the charachter of the King and the people of Gallia were having no effect, in desperation she charged his weapons and tried to make what he could of an attack on myself and Dijon in a futile attempt to damage the station or passing ships. Luckily for the good people of Gallia i stopped her before she was able to carry out her vile and cowardly act of terrorism.

After the fight ended, i managed to rescue a Police officer she was holding captive and return him safely to Dijon. By this time the Sirian ships had been delt with and i was ordered back to the Beuvrey for debriefing and report writing. Thus concludes my report.

Long live the King!

[color=#FFFFFF]Bonjour,

It is goot to be back in space after the extensive ion storms that have grounded most of the ships for so long. And today was a fruitful day as far as can be said.

All was quiet as i began my patrol from the Beuvrey, all the lanes were secure and running as normal, no reports of Council activity had been recieved. As I was heading from Nevers back to Dijon, I recieved orders to divert to Dauphine and report to the Embrun command. Apparently a large Sirian ship had been sighted by a civilian transport, naturally their eyes often decieve them, but this time the civilians prooved a mot valuable reconnaissance tool.

As I entered Dauphine, the co-ordination officer from the Embrun told me to proceed from the wreck of Bourgon-Jallieu along the lane to the sealed Jump Gate. As i made my way along the lane, a large unidentified ship appeared at long range. I exited the lane and moved towards it to see whether or not it was the Sirian we were looking for. Sure enough once I got within scanner range, I was able to identify it as a Sirian, and a ship of Cruiser size.

I ordered it to stop, but it refused, it said it had buisness with the Council. Eventually i got within disruptor range and halted it by force. I then proceeded to attempt to question it about what its motives for being in Gallia were, but without warning it opened fire on my ship. With all haste I engaged thrusters and evaded its fire, however it would appear that Sirian technology and Sirian gunnery skill are vastly inferior than those we face in baisic combat training. Soon after i engaged it, a patrol wing of two fighters and two bombers showed up and engaged it. With the support it barely lasted a minuite under our fire and was destroyed just as it attempted to jump to Burgundy.

<span style="font-size:10pt;line-height:100%][color=#FFFFFF]**SIRIAN SHIP SCAN DATA**

As i was proceeding back to the Embrun, I was ordered to head to Lorraine to assist in the distruction of a second Sirian ship, however as I was about to enter Lorraine I recieved word that it had fled. As such I headed back to the Beuvrey for minor repairs and to release the pilots the Sirian Cruiser had captured. Thus ends my report.

Long live the King!

This is Margrave Blaise Mersenne, submitting an action report for the 4th of Mai, 734 A.G.S.

Much time has passed since my last sortie, approximately two months if I recall. My duties in Dauphine have kept me away from the controls of my Serval for too long; today I finally took flight again.

Embarking from Gap Station, I transited to Burgundy to behold His Majesty's Fleet; the Chant du Cygne and an new battleship, the Renaissance, were holding in high orbit above Planet Orville. A small detachment of fighter escorts were also present, with one particular pilot that ma Grand Marshall had transferred to my wing; madamoiselle Laurel Lavelle had submitted her request to join His Majesty's Royal Navy. That she was granted a heavy fighter shows indication of promise and skill, and I gladly accepted her transfer to my wing. His Majesty's Territory seemed secure for the time being, so we were relegated to undertaking patrol missions dispatched from D'Intelligence Navalle. Perhaps Fate willed that my first sortie be a simple one, though she also saw fit to tempt the Council.

A Council battlegroup consisting of a Redemption and Obstinate wished to challenge His Majesty's Royal Navy in our very own system, and such an affront could not be left alone. The Chant du Cygne and Renaissance accepted the Council's challenge, and met them on the field of battle; the heavy battery fire flew thick and heavy and, though the Renaissance sustained critical damage, the Grand Marshall managed to rout the Council's assault. This battle was opportune, as Lavelle could witness the withering firepower of His Majesty's Fleet.

D'Intelligence Navalle would soon inform us of an anomalous sensor reading from Lorraine and, by the Grand Marshall's leave, we departed to investigate. Early reports indicated that the contact had attempted bribery of our Knights, a heinous crime and of the utmost insult to Royal Decree. Our search did not last long, as an unidentified vessel soon approached to sensor range; heuristics identified a Union Corse IFF and vessel registration, giving us further corroboration as to the bribery attempt. The pilot of the vessel Psyche, an Asco-class gunboat, transferred a sum of credits to my vessel; these funds will be deposited into His Majesty's war coffers. Though we had played along, justice was to be served. I informed the pilot of his transgressions against His Majesty's Royal Navy and Domain, the punishment of which was no less than death. The pilot claimed he had to pursue such a course for the safety of his family and child; these are things he should have thought of before being employed in such a vile trade. With the Grand Marshall present, we immediately meted out justice.

The Asco was well-equipped for a fighter interception role, and the pilot (claiming to be a mere 'scout') seemed quite adept. Lavalle had performed admirably, yet the sheer firepower of the gunboat would eventually force her to eject. I will admit full responsibility for the loss of a Serval, as I should have shown better judgment than to bring a new pilot into such a battle. Soon, though, the Frayant Battlegroup arrived; the Corse pilot had offered to surrender, but his deeds did nothing to grant him penance. The Grand Marshall spoke, and justice was to be dispensed. Within the span of five seconds, the gunboat was dismantled by the combined firepower of the Battlegroup. Having settled this issue, the fleet returned to Burgundy. I docked at Dijon Station shortly thereafter to prepare this report.

Analysis: There is no new tactical data concerning the Council fleet that attacked, save for what has been mentioned in previous reports. I will use this space to discuss, instead, the performance of Laurel Lavalle.

The pilot possesses a fervor that is rarely seen in His Majesty's subjects, a fiery rage against the Sirian vermin who have wronged us centuries ago in Sol. I will admit that it is refreshing, and reaffirms the goals of His Majesty. She also displays a strong desire for worth, claiming her origins to be that of a farmer's child. I will trust in the decisions of His Majesty's Royal Navy, for it sees potential in this recruit to achieve great things. Her valor in combat is not to be questioned as well: despite an overwhelming disadvantage in combat against a gunboat, she never faltered and kept her trigger held. With the education and instruction of His Majesty's Royal Navy, I can confidently say that Laurel Levalle will make a fine addition.

Conclusion: Despite my absence, I see that there is still much for us to do. I look forward to flying again, for His Majesty and for Gallia.

To the best of my abilities, I claim the contents to be truthful and accurate.

By my hand and eye,

Margrave Blaise Mersenne

Incoming Transmission
Comm ID: Aurelia DeFrance
Origin: Avalon Station

Salut Officers of the Royal Navy.

As the time for us to proceed with the King's plans draws near, so does the need for greater efficiency and organization within the Navy. To meet these needs, the structure of the Navy is being adjusted.

The first change is that the rank of General D'Armee Navalle is being changed to Lord Marshall. Margrave de Burgundy, Bruce Montague, will retain this position. The Lord Marshall will be the second in command of the Royal Navy, operating under the orders of the King and Grand Marshal LaCroix.

The second, and most important, change is the creation of a new position. Under the Lord Marshall will be the Royal Navy's three Marshalls. These three Marshalls will have control over the three Naval divisions of Gallia; The Royal Guard headquartered in Ile-de-France and responsible for all naval operations in the Core Worlds will be put under the command of myself. The Border Guard and Pacification Division headquartered in Burgundy will remain under the command of Lord Marshall Bruce Montague. The Gallic Occupation Force will be put under the command of Marshall Blaise Mersenne.

A change is also being made to the control of System Naval Forces. Each Royal Navy-controlled system will be under the command of a single Colonel. These Colonels will serve under the command of the Marshall in command of the region that solar system is within, with the exception of Ile-de-France, which will be under the direct control of the Marshall of the Royal Guard Division, and Burgundy, which will be under the direction control of the Marshall of the Border Guard and Pacification Division. Prince Joseph will be the Colonel in charge of the Dauphine System. The Colonels in charge of the other systems will be decided upon soon.

Battleships Carcassonne and Guillestre will be under new Commandants, Maurice Delavoux and Margrave Elria Ciel respectively. All other Royal Navy stations and battleships will remain under the command of their previous Commandants.

-All officers are to familiarize themselves with this new structure as soon as possible.
-Princess Aurelia DeFrance, Marshall de Guard Royale

This is Margrave Blaise Mersenne, submitting an action report for the 14 of Mai, 743 A.G.S.

Having had the Sylvana sit in dry-dock for close to two months, it was due time that she took flight. Her crew was still as sharp as before, and we wasted little time in embarking. Shortly after clearing the station, I was greeted by her highness, Princess Aurelia DeFrance. Surprisingly, she was without escort; though I do not doubt her highness' prowess in a Serval, it would put my mind at ease to offer her the Sylvana as an escort. She obliged, and we rendezvoused at the Embrun with her personal guard, madamoiselle Lucille Montague. For the time being, all was at ease in His Majesty's Territories.

We had idled our time discussing the latest in royal court proceedings, inspired by the latest communications burst from the Core Worlds. Her highness also saw fit to remind a pilot of the Legionnaires of the proper protocol that is to be expected of warriors in the presence of royalty. Rest assured, he had taken her lessons to heart. Time idled by more, yet the relative peace would eventually be disturbed by an open transmission through Dauphine; though I know not if they were prodding us into action or simply unaware that their comm line was unsecured, pilots of the Societe Militaire Privee announced their presence. We responded, but their conversation bore little relevance to what we were saying. At her highness' command, madamoiselle Montague was dispatched to reconnoiter their position. It did not take too long for her to find them 30 klicks from Briancon Station, and she immediately relayed their position to us.

As we arrived, we found madamoiselle Montague beset by a Maquis patrol wing. The SMP pilots made mention that the patrol may kill her before their contract was completed; their gross obliviousness of a Knight's combat capabilities was only surpassed by their slip in confiding details. With the patrol wing repelled, both her highness and madamoiselle Montague launched a combined attack against the SMP pilots. At Her behest, I maintained a perimeter around the engagement zone to ward off any unwanted rebel attention. The battle itself was relatively short, with both her highness and madamoiselle Montague elegantly subduing the would-be assassins. Listed below is the confirmed kill count from the engagement:

The inter-system sensor network detected no further unusual readings within Dauphine, and our evening was concluded with our return to Gap Station.

Analysis: The Societe Militaire Privee, based on their name and their familiarity with our language and systems, are determined to be of Gallic origin. Where they have traveled to beyond His Majesty's Territories is currently unknown, but their new employ is that of mercenaries. A major tactical error on my behalf, I did not record the sensor data from our scans of their equipment; suffice it to say, each SMP pilot possessed his or her own craft, with a motley arrangement of weapon and defensive systems. This leads us to believe that they acquire their own equipment from a variety of sources, but future scans will need to be conducted to find manufacturing patterns. Though coordinated, the SMP does not currently pose a major security threat to His Majesty's Territories. A point of concern is that some person or group is directly targeting her highness. The Mandalorian Mercenaries, a prior group that entered into Gallia, did not display an overarching goal to their actions. The SMP, on the other hand, was quite clear in their attempt on her highness' life; analyzing archived reports, a similar anathema was seen in various 'Zoner' intrusions into His Majesty's Territory. Though this may be coincidence, further research is deemed necessary.

Conclusion: That the Sirians may be using Gallic expatriates to conduct their underhanded business in His Majesty's Territory is only of slight concern. Regardless of their origin, any attempt to undermine His Will will be met with the unbridled fury of His Majesty's Royal Navy. Still, it would behoove us to gather and archive as much data as possible on the SMP, and whoever their employers may be.

To the best of my abilities, I claim the contents to be truthful and accurate.

By my hand and eye,

Margrave Blaise Mersenne

Bonjour. This is a written report on a short battle between me and a Maquis pilot, Pauline Valence.

Report: I lauched from Battleship Beuvray to begin my patrol. I took the tradelane to Dijon station and met up with an Obstinate Cruiser from the Main Fleet, The RNS-Niort. He was talking with a Maquis pilot by the name of Pauline Valence. The RNS-Niort's commander, Commander Montague, ordered me to take down the Maquis pilot, I followed orders and chased after him. He fled a bit further from Planet Orville then engaged me. The fight was relatively short. The Maquis pilot put up quite a fight but got destroyed by a MX-17 Nuclear mine.

Analysis of fight:

Ship Type (Self): XJ-3 "Lynx" Gallic VHF
Ship Type (Opponent): MJ-2 "Agama" Council HF

Damage (Self)
: Power core overload due to overuse of energy consuming
Mini Razors.
: Power core capacity reduced to 70%.
: Engines hit by enemy ordinance. Starboard power conductors are
severely damaged.
: Port wing suffered Tachyon burns. Still intact.
: Air pressure leak in cargo bay.
: Frontal hull is down to 60%.

Damage (Opponent)
: Ship destroyed.
: No escape pod found (Either dead or escaped sensor detection)
: Cargo destroyed in blast radius of Nuclear Mine.

What destroyed the opponent's ship
: MX-17 Nuclear Mine was lauched while in front of opponent.
: Mini Razor took out ship shields (After Nuclear Mine was lauched)
: Opponent crashed into Nuclear Mine
-Destroyed-

Final Report
[color=#FFFFFF]: Maquis ship downed. No escape pod found, presumed dead. Ship sustained major damage. Repairs

[color=#FFFFFF]Bonjour,

Today I had the pleasure of watching yet another ship roll out of the drydocks at Dijon, but this was not just any ship, today I watched the launch of the Gunboat class vessel christened the RNS "Acre".

[font=Times New Roman][color=#FFFFFF]IS SHE NOT MAGNIFICANT
[font=Times New Roman][color=#FFFFFF]

She is truely a sight to behold, and no doubt is going to serve Gallia well. Tomorrow we shal procees with stress-testing her and taking her for her first combat mission on active duty. I await with great anticipation the victories she will no doubt bring in the coming war.

Her crew compliments are thus:
  • 3 Senior officers, including the Capitaine,
  • 1 Navigational Officer,
  • 2 Gunnery Sergeants,
  • 8 Gunners (each appointed to a specific turret),
  • 1 Engineering officer,
  • 1 Engineering apprentice (temporary),
  • 1 Munitions Officer,
  • 1 Marine Sergeant of His Majesties 1st Royal Burgandinian Regiment,
  • 10 Marines of His Majesties 1st Royal Burgandinian Regiment,
The crew are mostly fresh recruits from the system of Burgundy, with the notable exception of Engineering Officer Renaud, who is nearing retirement age. They have been through rigorous training and drilling aboard the Battleship Beauvrey for the past three months and are fit and ready for active duty.

Bonjour,

I launched my Lynx at Dijon, to perform a standard patrol to down to the Carcassonne in Languedoc. I left Burgundy, checking the Lanes and passing by the Beuvray and the Bourg-en-Bresse Space port. I continued the patrol, moving past the Briacon Station and Gap, until I finally arrived at the Jumpgate to Languedoc. I scouted the area around the Carcassonne, at a maximal distance of 20 clicks. Soon after I could be sure that there were no traces of hostile activities near the Carcassonne I moved back to Dijon.

There were no hostile encounters, that would be worth to be mentioned.

And before I forget about it, the medical tests I had to made were alright, no traces of drugs or anything else.

For the crown!

Bonjour,

I started the patrol at Dijon, moving towards the Battleship Rocroi to monitor the acitivity near the lanes and near the jumpgate to Champagne. On my way back my scanners picked a suspicious signal up and I proceeded to investigate it.
It turned out to be a vessel belonging to the Council, when I approached it tried to spread their propaganda, but confronted with the truth all of its points deemed senseless. After some more talking I tried to convince her to leave those lies behind, but she refused to do so.
The will of the crown was fullfilled

After the destruction of said vessel I continued the patrol, moving down to the Bourg-en-Bresse Spaceport and back to Dijon to end the patrol.

The only serious treat to the crown and the people, which showed up was removed.

For the crown!
