I'm seeing a lot of ships passing through Baffin that while they pay homage, they are also transporting slaves. If I'm not mistaken, isn't that something we will not tolerate? I didn't want to 86 anyone until I was more informed.

We're all slaves to our own tunnel realities, Matok.
We don't care what these poor deluded mehums carry. We do care that they know to wipe their feet and genuflect in the direction of the Temple. That's about it.
Aye, good to be back. Got to talk to Doc for a bit and as Captain Matok said we met for a brief time in Baffin. His presence is well liked by my ragtag bunch I call a crew. I too have been wondering about this Slavery passing under our noses. I've never been a fan of it or the Cardimine as you well know. I know the Slavers Union has been generous and regularly pay homage to the Lady, and I've not heard of them mistreating their 'Guests' during their trips. The sale of man just chafes at my neck is all. As for the 'Casts and thier Cardi, its a booming business and I feel we should be getting a healthy fithing if their routes come through our holy lands. Most times the passerby simply tries to fly by and not even so much as a by your leave. I've been workin on that. Gonna teach these bugs manners if it kills them, and it might. I've little patience for a pilot that can't at least acknowledge their hosts. Bad form if you ask me. But enough ramblings from an old drunk. I find I'm long winded when I'm sober. See you all out there.

Yes, it was a pleasure chatting with you. Matok spoke highly of you as well. I quote what he said, "He is an honorable human." If he says that, consider it a high form of praise.
Mal, only because you are more concerned with homage to Eris, which is expected and understood, and less concerned with cargo, I'll not worry about slave traders. It'll be a tough thing looking the other way though. For now, we have larger concerns.

Are we still NOT to be in Corsair space? In the past, I've made food runs there and had good relations doing so. If you rather me not, I won't. I'm just trying to promote some good will is all. Hey, they listen better than the Queen of Bretonia does IMO.

Sure Doc, go ahead. I never intended for us to get in a whissing match with those lads, just to broaden their paradigms a bit. Besides, it would give our new OSI friends someone to chat with on their runs.
Dis and Soph are on temporary hiatus from their regular routes. Perhaps they'd like to join you as well.
Give our regards to the Hermanos, and if there are any diplomatic nuances you'd rather pass off, contact me with a CC: to Kyte at the Council.
Oh, and your friend Cmdr Matok is doing stellar duty as Temple Guard here at home. Compliments to you both.
Waverly and I are still in negotiations for some shipments of prime Scrubbies. We've discovered a few more "schools" of the little wigglers out in the cloud, and may end up cutting out the middleman by marketing our own right here in Baffler. Reggie thinks there will be a market upheaval soon, and we may have to renegotiate with all our suppliers and buyers.
Rich reminds, folk. That little offer of 300 megatons to LPI for the gals.. perhaps I should have held off. Those contracts may fall flat on their faces as well if they revalue the markets.. what think? It's Waverly/LGB's flax, but it might serve us better in the Temple Fund. Discuss.
All for now, my Fetful Flock,
Mal,
E-P,COEE, (POEE),
and yer friend.
Well, to be perfectly frank, let 'em starve in Illinois. We've never had a friend in Liberty Command. LPI, LN, back to the SA and beyond. Bottom line is I feel if we're ANY of us to be supplying them trigger happy cap-lovers They aught to be payin us, not the other way around. As I'm sure you remember I had a heck of a time one fateful time with the Liberty command, over a thing that should have been of no consequence. Almost went to war with them many a times we have. Now we should bend and PAY their hides the Goddesses shopping money? I don't think it's right. But I'm one little pineal in a pile, spittin his two pents forth.
Let em starve, unless they kneel and worship with proper reverence of course!

Thanks, Mal. I appreciate the insight. Just my 2 cents worth on this Liberty thing. I say let em' supply their own. It's not often that I go into Liberty space but I have more trouble there when I do. I've found the Borderworlds a safer place to fly than Liberty space. I don't think they can control it very well. I've been pirated, shot at, caught in crossfire and given an earful for nothing by authorities there. In fact, they're more concerned about the Mercenaries that operate there than they are the criminal element. It's almost laughable.
I've been keepin' and eye on the negotiations with Liberty. I really have to say that I am more than satisfied with the offered deal. I thank you for the modifications, though I am quite aware I am not the one makin nor spendin' the flax, and I wish to let my understanding of this be known. You do me an honor. I will not forget it my friend.
Of course, I'll keep the tadpole clear until such a time as an arrangement can be made. I see no profit in allowing anyone to starve. Dizzy and Sophie will agree with me, that there are considerable advantages in having access to Illinois well beyond the obvious. Understood that Our position regarding Gamma is now resolved. Will carry on with all engines blazing. The flax must flow!
