Until actual laws are laid out on the forums, not just made up as we go along, there's no point in having any court cases.
Commercial law etc is non-existent on the forums really.
I don't have access to the laws.
I don't know if I have broken any.
There is no way for me to find out about the laws.
Ignorance of the law is no excuse.
Or is it?
No one knows because no one has bloody written it in law on the forums.
Even if it was no excuse, the courts have to be able to provide the laws if asked for them.
Or do they?
No one knows because no one has bloody written it in law on the forums.
Without being able to obtain the laws, you cannot be expected to abide by them, much like a child is not responsible for their actions as they do not know what they did wrong.
Or does that apply?
No one knows because no one has bloody written it in law on the forums.
I'm not really one for avoiding someone trying to roleplay with me but really, it's like playing with imaginary guns.
"Bang! I got you!"
"No you didn't, I was wearing invincible armour!"
Seriously, it's more like powergaming than anything else.

Imho, it's a bit different. If a law isn't written on the forums in the appropriate section of the forums it does not exist as a law Simple powergaming. How can you know or break something that doesn't exist?
(btw, no idea what all of this is about. Just sounded funny :) )
Law by common sense. Defamation is illegal in most western countries. Therefore doing it in game would likely be considered to be illegal as well. Same as libel, or slander. Basically if you cannot do it n real life, assume it's illegal in game. You won't go far wrong.
And by that I mean criminal activity wise.
Saint Del is considered a holy healer of diseases of children, but also as a protector of cattle.

That is true but then you have to classify everything to do with it, all the clauses and defenses for it.
If a person rapes another inRP here, they are charged with rape.
A woman in the UK cannot be charged with rape.
Rape requires penile penetration, which a woman can't do, therefore a woman can never rape another person.
If we went on common sense, they could.
These are the important things though, where is the precedent regarding evidence?
Where are the laws regarding anything other than smuggling etc?
A Rheinland Government official swore at me and threatened to kill me.
Here are the transcripts from the forum.
I am claiming 20 billion credits.
He has no defense.
Yet in nearly every law system, there are defenses, even if they are only partial defenses.
Are forum messages good enough evidence? Do I have a dodgey background that could cause doubt in my testimony?
Can you even be charged credits for verbal abuse?
It's simple bloody powergaming to throw imaginary laws at people and then expect them to defend themselves, while refusing to give them these imaginary laws.
