' Wrote:I think a really good question would be, "Can a merc be hired by a pirate type ID to either assist in pirating vessels, or possibly, launching assaults on lawful characters and or factions?"
I'm fairly certain, but not entirely, the answer is "yes." So that brings us to our next question, "What's to stop a merc joining forces with pirate type ID (players) and just saying, if anyone asks, oh I was hired by them?"
To your first question, the pirating needs to be x'd off the list, I agree with the ID, merc's shouldn't be allowed to pirate, I just screwed up. As for assisting in attacking lawfuls I personally think it should be permitted.
To your second question, my answer to that is my Coming SoonTM [TBH] Characters, as I've primarily been employed/grouped with them to free up my mercenary characters for work elsewhere.
To Mastery,
I agree, personally I think the Job Board needs to be transformed into a Sub-Forum of the RP section, and jobs/mercenary work postings & bounties should be posted in threads. I really hate sifting through a thread full of jobs, and would like to see some topic titles for easier navigation.

Grey areas aside, and those are mod issues, so out of my hands. Perhaps a well worded plea in balance
issues to change certain wording on IDs or perhaps a different type altogether ... Common sense and a
spirit of roleplay would be the answer for now. That is down to you ...
As to the job board situation, there is not enough traffic posted to warrant a complete sub-forum, but if
you guys could just do with a pinned thread for now, I'll see what I can do. Though it would be up to you
to update when contracts are completed, otherwise we will end up with just another list of confusing posts
once again.
