- Laowai, AFK in Omicron Alpha. Destroyed by six or seven battleships.
- Xoria, Starflier in New York. Retribution was swift. Might have been a different situation here though.
Worth noting that they are NOT invulnerable. It'd just take a relatively large number of Heavy Mortars impacting simultaneously to bring the shield down.
Yeah, i have the dubious honour of this.. Joe and myself were stirring up a hornets nest.... right before the shooting started my oh-so-reliable Toshiba laptop turned itself off... when i finally got back in it was to find me docked somewhere odd and Joe pm'ing me asking "Dude... what the hell?".
After that, you are correct, the shields were upped.
I had heard a rumour that way back in the day Koord was also killed in an Admin Battleship, but i could be wrong here and he would need to elaborate or if someone still knows maybe they can chime in.
There was an admin hunt some time ago, it was done in good natured fun and didnt last too long from what i remember - Admins will also generally be a little silly on April 1st, the last two that i was involved in involved advertising "Instant Matter Transference" schemes in New York... and of course the successful events in NY and Penn - which i disrupted by killing everyone in a 20k radius, including the event organising admin.. my bad, yes, i still feel guilty for it.
Right now however, addressing the quote here - im not sure the current Admin shields have been tested as thoroughly, I have taken many, many, many simultaneous heavy mortar hits with the current load out and not dropped even a teeny bit. Im sure next April fools the admin team will be willing to take on the server and see if this is actually the case - heck... for me, only PVP id ever win.

Discuss.
If myself and the group of people i play with give you ss's of epic RP everytime we did some, you would need to manage 3 or 4 banks characters keeping them topped up, or you'd be out of money within a week tbh. :S
you shouldnt need to be payed to roleplay... its just retarded.
You don't even see that sucker coming and you are dead.
Schrodinger should really keep the darn thing chained up, I swear.
But seriously folks, I seem to remember a time when the Admins used to hold 'Hide and Seek' events.
The Admin would hide and everyone would go look for them.
There were hints of course and prizes involved, usually donated by someone who just had FAR too many credits to get rid of, either that or prizes were sourced from 'sanction fines'.
It could have been on this server or it *might* have been on the old 'GetOnIt' (Australian) server, which sadly no longer exists... or maybe I've gone mad.
