From:General Jean Quenneville To: Ile-de-France Shipping Subject: Investigation Encryption: High
Good evening.
You probably already know who I am, so there is no need for further introductions. The reason I am broadcasting this message is not only to officially apologize for the tragedy that took the lives of three Gallic citizens, but also to stress once again the fact that the Council is not a terrorist organization.
The incident in Dauphine was an terrible accident, and I understand that no compensation could ever surpass the lives of those three employees. However, without doubt, measures will be taken to avoid such terrible events in the future. I do not expect you to understand, nor can this be used as an excuse, but the Council's technology isn't as good as it once was. Technical errors happen, and it's a shame that they can compromise the relations between the Council and the citizens of Gallia just in a snap.
Colonel Loup, the one who flew the faulty Basilisk bomber, is currently struggling for his life at an intensive care unit, due to his escape pod taking a heavy pounding from the escort's fire. His chances of survival are not very high. Michel Loup would never deliberately attack a civilian transport, no matter the circumstances. He is a man of honor, and a very good Colonel.
Needless to say, an investigation is undergoing, despite Loup's current state. And once the truth comes out, we will let you know.

Oui, monsieur. I do hope that this is not the common dealings of the Council, and while I am a faithful servant of the king I do hope that this situation will one day end peacefully. Although we currently share different ideologies it is my hope that we can still live in peace, however uncertain and uneasy it may be.
Our relations aren't exactly, good mon amis.... but I do hope that when one side finally is victorious over the other, whatever the outcome, that we may live in harmony with one another.
