I have 1 bs, 1 cr, 1 gb, 1 bomber and a fighter. Those are AW chars.
I have also a private GB, 3 fighters (1 pirate, 1 lawful, 1 GoR) and my admin raven claw.
Oh, and 2 container transports.. One as a trader, which i recreated, and the other one as a holder char.
So, as you can see, i fly mostly on fighter class ships.
(If you find any mistake in my English, please let me know via a PM)
(Really, I speak terrible English, so please, tell me if I make mistakes. I'd like to improve it a bit )
Ok firstly I personaly would not be seen dead, alive or anything else in a revens talon, raven claw or a talon.
Infact if you saw my life pod drifting in space and you are flying one of those ships please leave me out there to die.
Now you can probaly guess I am not a big fan of those 3 ships (if you can't you are almost as stupid as I am)
I will also add that anyone that claims that less than 75% of fighters have "Raven" or "Talon" in there name is in my opinion and from what I have seen, either blind or compleatly and uterly retarded.
On a slightly less angry note:
From what I see there is about a 50/50 ratio of caps to fighters on the server, I would say that as long as it get no higher in favor of caps that I can live with it.
Ok now I wonder how many people are going to put bountys on my head for hating those ships...
Kiggles:mellow:
I've been mildly miffed by one-shot weapons since their implementation, oh so long ago. I remember the days when fights were a matter of who could aim better, rather than who could aim a single shot. - Virus
I currently have a Gunship for both my chars, but I don't think I'll ever want a Battleship... too damn large and definitely too damn slow (although I've never flown one before... one day maybe I'll try it out).
And do not underestimate the VHF class ships. With the right combination guns and elite pilot to go, it can be one tough enemy. But like Locke said, it's a muscle thing...
My ship list is in my signature. 1 Freighter, 1 Luxury Liner, and 1 House VHF. The freighter was chosen for its balance of power, space, and maneuvering. The Luxury Liner was chosen to fit the RP story, as was the VHF. Both have loadouts to suit their purpose.
I wouldn't be surprised to find myself trading in the freighter for a fighter someday, now that I have another trader to support him if need be. They're what the game was designed for.
Biggest thing I'll ever fly is a Rheinland Gunboat. Cruiser is slightly (AND I mean slightly) too big. I play about 60% on fighter and 40% on Gunboat, depending on what RM are on and the situation.
I also agree that its a way to flex peoples muscle. When your in a Battleship, you're sayin "Hey, look at me, I got a huge-A** ship with a c***-load of weapons and armor and I worked my A** off to get it!":nyam:
Of course, those Battleship owners had to give an arm and a leg to get it.... Read the fine print:rtfm:
5 fighters
2 freighter/fighters (for RP)
1 Bomber
2 Gunboats
0 Cruisers (hate flying them for some reason...)
2 Battleships
2 Transports (one's a bank)
1 Camera (RP it as a probe.)
Usually fly my favorite Gunboat, though I often fly a fighter or my Camera too.
I fly 1 fighter(soon there will be 2, maybe I'll get a bomber and a GB, too), 1 bank transport, 1 trader and 1 BS. Battleships are some kind of status symbols IMO, but I don't recommend them in use against fighters(too small targets for a BS)
