Oh, and one more question... I had the same font as on the first screenshot (http://img651.imageshack.us/img651/9869/screen1ave.jpg), but when I reinstalled freelancer my font became small and ugly... Could someone tell me, please, how to get font same as on this pic?
I've got Adoxa's Hudshift lying around on my server, but not JFLP, I'm afraid.
Installation instructions:
' Wrote:Hudshift seems to work just fine for me - just remember that you need to reapply the changes to dacom.ini after every update, as it may have been overwritten/changed by the update.
Here's a download link for Adoxa's Hudshift that I (temporarily) uploaded to my server, since it doesn't seem to be acquirable anywhere else online after Adoxa's server went down. Hopefully it'll be up again soon.
What you need to do is:
1. Add "hudshift.dll" to the list of DLLs (under [Libraries]) in dacom.ini, located in Freelancer install directory\EXE
2. Move hudshift.dll to Freelancer install directory\EXE
3. Move hudshift.ini to Freelancer install directory\DATA\INTERFACE
4. Open hudshift.ini. Find your monitor/window aspect ratio or resolution. It's at the top of the .ini.
5. Remove the semicolon - the ; - from where it says [;HUDSHIFT] for your resolution/aspect ratio
6. Save hudshift.ini. Launch Freelancer.
If you've got any further questions on this topic and/or can't get it to work, send me a PM or make a new thread in the Discovery RP 24/7 Tutorials & Support forum. This thread isn't the correct place to discuss it.
EDIT: Links updated, 06.05.2012
EDIT2: Adoxa's site is up again, use that to download Hudshift instead (if it's up).
guys, ive r e installed the game after a long while, running with 1920 1080 well its all fine but hud is the problem and in options menu where back is too down ,it seems like its zoomed to the center ,well this is the answer to that so posting here, those hudshift and freelancer pact links doesnt work anymore can someone send working links?
It's supposed to correct the problem with the HUD not being lined up to the edges of the screen on widescreen resolutions. I've never tried it, nor did I when it first came out, because Cannon or any member of the Admin team said it was allowed to be used on the server.
I would, however, be curious as to if it would be allowed. My HUD matching my resolution would be extremely handy.
That doesn't move your HUD, as you can see - it's still left floating in the middle of the screen. That's what you'd use Adoxa's Hudshift for.

I don't think Jason's FL patch does that (move the HUD like you're describing, that is), but I've never tested it either. The main reason why it's not allowed for use on the Discovery server is because it adds a lot of other functionality, so I presume it wouldn't be compatible nor useful - we've already had the vertical strafing and roll functionality that it adds for years.
Adoxa's Hudshift is the fix you'd use (and the only one around, as far as I know) for moving the HUD out to the edges of the screen when you're running FL in a widescreen or other non-standard resolution. You can find a link to that in my post a bit further up in this thread.
EDIT: Link to the post w/installation instructions for those of you that are too lazy to scroll up
EDIT2: <strike>The download link in that post is broken. I'll fix that in a moment - I've changed my server software since then.</strike>
