X tapped his talon against the floor quicker, taking another drink and placing the bottle on the bench. His eyes turned to Kane as he bore his teeth, tensing his arms as he approached the human. "To start... Mrrraaah... I don't know, what the Hell you think you're trying to pull," X growled, tapping his toenail again, "but aside from the fact that Lavinia over here probably didn't even know what alcohol was until now! 'I was here first'"
"Better learning what alcohol is in a controlled environment with a friend than in somewhere completely screwed up with a bunch of junkies, no? And that last statement..."
X's expression further hardened, his eyes flicking back and forth, up and down across Kane, flexing his fingers together but otherwise not speaking - as if he couldn't.
"Look, X. If you want to make a big deal out of this, we have a problem here. I don't want a big deal out of this. And I don't think you really want to either. And I'm pretty sure no one else here wants it too happen either. So, how about this? We just drop this whole thing and live life our separate ways, mmm?"
X laughed for a moment, before tensing his right arm and clenching his fist, driving a punch into Kane's stomach, holding it in position as he spoke, "If only I trusted you to stick to that..."
Kane coughed in shock. He resisted the urge to gag--and possibly vomit-- and breathed deeply until X backed off. He fell back into the sofa and collapsed his back forward. His head sunk into his abdomen, and he clutched his stomach.
As X hit Kane, Lavinia let out a startled cry. "What the hell are you doing!" she said, stepping towards X, and drawing her arm back. With a small growl, she brought the armored hand forward, impacting with X's cheek and passing. She glared at him for a moment, electricity sparking across the now-slightly-damaged glove, and wheeled around, sitting beside Kane. "Are you alright?" She whispered, concern clear in her voice.
A million dollars isn't cool. You know what is cool? A basilisk.
X shook his head, now tapping both inside toes. The impact of Lavinia's hand didn't hurt him in the slightest, be he did realise the implication of what he did... He sighed, before walking back to the bar and sitting down, downing a large portion of the drink he'd put down.
Kane grunted, breathing deeply. He felt his eyes water up a bit. The force was a shocking blow to his gut. His eyes were uncontrollable.
He looked up at Lavinia.
"I'll be fine, sweetie," he said, coughing into his legs. His head hurt as well as his stomach. He pinched the bridge of his nose with one hand and clutched his stomach with the other.
Lavinia reached an arm around Kane's shoulder, still shaking from the caffiene, as well as the shock and the realisation of what she just did to X. She rested her head on Kane's shoulder, almost to tears, and let out a shivering breath. "Please be okay..."
