Kane released his nose and gently stroked Lavinia's neck. "I'll be okay, don't worry... thank you for your concern... I appreciate it." He smiled through his pain. "I feel better just knowing you're here."
His expression changed to a grimace as another surge of pain rushed through his abdomen.
Lavinia looked at Kane, a film of tears in her eyes for a moment before she blinked them away. She hugged Kane's shoulder a little tighter, before releasing him and observing the bar. She noticed X sitting there and looking rather depressed, and looked down at her armored glove, which was now crumpled along the surface.
"Hrm...I think I know...why...why he hit you..." she said, looking down at Kane with a look of concern, as well as slight guilt.
"And its probably about me..."
A million dollars isn't cool. You know what is cool? A basilisk.
"It's not your fault," he said. "It's mine. I... I pulled a really... dick move. I... "stole" you from him... I don't think he likes the idea of you and I... being..."
X jumps suddenly, his eyes lighting up as he pulled his head out of arms, which were rested against the bar. He looked around slowly, before resting his head on his forearms with a soft grunt. Too bad I'd be shot on sight if I went 'home'...
Chris was just sitting there waching the whole thing unravel, and hoped that it would escilate...the thought of wanting it to made him sick...Seeing it wasnt going to, Chris pulls out a datta-pad to look buisy, but eyes Lavinia, hoping she would come and talk with him.
Lavinia blinked slowly as Kane said "together", and a dozen thoughts ran through her mind.
"Oh...I see..."
She looked around the bar again, noticing X looking depressed, and she felt a pang of guilt. She looked back down to Kane, hugging him lightly again, the effects of the caffiene wearing off.
A million dollars isn't cool. You know what is cool? A basilisk.
Jason glanced to X as he walked past, frowning slightly as he saw the reptile scratching at the bar top with his claws, seeming to etch non specific characters into the wood. Jason, however, didn't say anything, he didn't feel like dealing with it if there was a problem.
