This would make the good buy price =<100. The lowest price for high temp alloy is 199. So there is no good buy price as the commodity is currently defined.
' Wrote:We're being plagued by powertraders flitting between Tripoli Shipyard and Planet Crete. There's no good reason for this trade-run to be profitable whatsoever, and Corsairs are prevented from pirating these traders as, in RP, it's against Corsair laws to pirate transports taking goods to corsair bases.
FL Companion shows that the profit rate of this trade run is a massive 2.5 times that of the MOST profitable artefact run (which is only calculated as being so profitable because routes to liberty are calculated through Alaska).
this is why RP is flawed. on a non-RP server like Archy's Portal, people tend to park battleships above Crete and stop people from doing the run. As far as I'm concerned, if you're going to trade at all you should be a prime target for any pirate, meaning trading in pirate territory is asking to get pirated. After all, what's to stop a Corsair from killing some random freelancer and taking the loot to the destination? Hell, if you go by Corsair lore, this makes a lot more sense (and is less exploitable) than whatever weird system is used on RP servers now.
If anything, there should be more of these lucrative, quick trades available in pirate territory, and you have to brave the pirate factions in order to profit. As for the non-RP servers, people just park battleships/gebs wherever they please to counteract the issue. Problem solved.
besides, you still need about 40 hours worth of trading with a 4500+ cargo ship in order to afford a decently kitted battleship as it is, so there need to be ways of actually making money other than going across Sirius for a $10 profit
Not sure if this is the right place to report this bug but it does concern the commodity MOX
Ok picked up a load of MOX from Beaumont and delivered it to Rochester. Found that it sold for a different price as the load from Beaumont as shown below in the screenshots. Pm'd [Admin]Bear and asked about it and i also asked a few other vessals nearby to scan me and so i assume that it isnt lagg.
Anyway it isnt bad for me at all only a small trip and only $200 SC out of sync but could be rather annoying for some merchant vessals that transport MOX halfway around Sirius and find the prices out at other bases.
Hope this was helpful:)

There is nothing wrong with the mod. MOX from Dortmund and MOX from LD-14 are distinct commodities from each other, with different prices at the same bases. You were simply confusing one with the other.
In any case, this thread has served its purpose, and is no longer useful. All it lacks is a sprinkling of pixie dust and a set of waypoints to a retirement home on Curacao.
