My game/system likes to crash from time to time.
Today I flew from Tau37 to NY ...shipyard and docked - now, before the docking video ended
my system crashed.
Stuff happens...
I get back online and the on the character screen it says im located in NY
I log in and appear back on Freeport in Tau37
Bother! I say
So, my idea is to have a /save command to save your current location without having to start
travelling again from the last docked planet/base.
' Wrote:The server saves your location if you dock on the base or go through a gate or a jumphole. Unless you are traveling through Newcastle without using lanes, it shouldn't be a bother.
Apparently this works only when you log off properly (saves your last coordinates)
My idea is to have a command that saves your coordinates instantly
This will be a handy command, but not without ways where it can be abused.
Consider this - I cruise into an asteroid field for a fight, then I type /save just before I enter the brawl. When I get killed I click respawn and yay! Instant re-engage!

Well, they could make it so that if you get blown up you still respawn at your last base.
However what if you get a group of people to just spam the /save command.. Server lag much? :$
This is something that can be abused.. For example a ship full of codes uses /save and then after sometime his computer crashes and another guy destroyes him and takes the weapons.. So when the codename guy restarts he is still full of codes..
