And I don't get what you're saying above anyway. I know that most of the very very religious people I know would build a mosque/temple/church for their religion if they had to.
Not on ground zero though. And if they still would.. Well. I won't say.
Nonetheless, since when did Mosques become terrorist training camps? They're a place peaceful religious activities. It's not like their setting up some kind of war camp there.

Quote:Well, it depends on the person. If the muslim worker was truly muslim, they wouldn't.
Why not?
Quote:But if they were a radical or one of those terrorist-followers then ya i suppose they would build it.
So everyone who want to build a muslim community center with a mosque there is a radical or terrorist follower?
Its 2 blocks away from ground zero, btw. It wouldn't have been an issue for anyone if some people, like Sarah Palin and Newt Gingrich, hadnt lied and told people it was ON ground zero to stir up hatred and gain votes from hateful idiots.

Ya, my bad. I didn't realize it wasn't actually like, "on" ground zero. But it's fairly close. Like, 2 skyscrapers away. And i never said it was a training camp.

Well, Islam aren't far off from Christianity, and the true christian way is to love one another. It's just.. that now 'a days, they only use the bad things from the koran and practically make their own rule book. Which is basically kill anyone that doesn't agree with us.
Meh. I'm not gonna discuss this at 11pm. Wait a couple hours. Then I'll be pumped.:D

Welcome to American politics. Instead of debating policy, we see who can tell the most obvious lie that people are still stupid enough to believe.

Do you call yourself a true christian? Where's the love, man?

Who is "they"? Radicals in all religions do that, its not only reserved to islam. Most muslims dont. And most muslims who live in New York because they fled repressive radical regimes dont.
Sounds just like some christians I know...
Some american religious right christians, actually.

I fixed that a bit for you, because if you say it one way, you almost definitely have to be able to say it the other way, right?
Would someone like to explain why the building dedicated to showing the world that not all Muslims are terrorists is "defiling hallowed ground" at three blocks away, but the strip clubs one block away are totally fine?
Zapp, I wish there was more people like you where I live. I live in a small-ish town in Tennessee where people still hate England "For what they did to us in W-W-2"
A Mosque is a place of warship, not a terrorist training ground. You don't see The U.S. having obstacle courses, tank targets and the such in churches, do you? So why would terrorists build a Mosque to train people for their cause? And how would three blocks away from the twin towers wreckage be a strategic surveillance point? You didn't see the Vikings building spy towers next to villages they burned down, did you?
And besides, when did ground zero become ONLY the wreckage place of the twin towers? Ground zero is a generic term for where things started/happened/the like.
Not that I'm an insensitive ass or anything, it's horrible that it happened, but it's normal that people (especially the American culture) blow things that happen to them up way too much. For example, World War Two. Japan bombed Pear Harbor in Hawaii, thousand of people died, national tragedy. The U.S. bombed Japan, millions died, more radiated/sick etc...."WOOHOO! LETS HAVA BEER! WE KICKED THEIR ASSES!"
See where I'm going with this? It's natural for people to blow things out of the water, even towards the entire culture becomes ignorant, prejudice jerks who don't show a bit of sympathy or understanding towards the people they are stereotyping.
In short, the human race is doomed to destroy itself.
Alright, there's my rant for the month.......*walks out*
