Better textures, why not? Is this something like custom HUD that doesn't effect mod or its something that will interfere with server mod?

it interferes with the mod. - don t install it unless approved by igiss or the admin team to do so.

and custom HUD are also not really appreciated - same as custom skins for ships - etc.

They don't really do anything though. The rule against using third-party mods with Discovery is more of a safety clause then anything else.

You theoretically could run it without a worry, its likely, but ask Cannon. I think we should strive to make changes like this which improve the overall atmosphere of the game.
