SFI-Tetra,SFF-Photuin and SFF-Billy.Bishop were attacking KNF NPC in orbit around planet Kyushu. In the middle of attacking KNF capital ships the HF showed up in a large group. Without any word we were attacked and destroyed. All of my guns were destroyed so I undocked the Cichlid in tau-29 and regrouped with Photuin. After we had got to a certain point the HF appeared in tau. I then proceeded to tell them I was tetra and I wasn't allowed to reengage. This is the system we moved to after being destroyed. They didn't respond and attacked a second time. This is the only incriminating screenie I was able to take.

4 HF vessels in the area of Tau-29, just a little far from their home in Vespucci eh? New orders from before stand. HF are denied access to Bretonia. If they attack, return fire. If they refuse to comply with SF instructions (ie. entry into Bretonia and refusal to leave) open fire. We're still not an active participant in their war with the SA, but given anymore of these unprovoked attacks that position may change.
After several dogfights where I am outmaneuvered and shot down, I am announcing the commission of the SFF-Polaris, a small, light, Hussar Fighter, ready for patrols and smuggler interdiction.

Status Report: SFDS-DAUGHTLESS
In response to a previous raid conducted against CRS, a group of 3 SF fighters and 2 capital ships proceed to pay a similar respect to the KNF. Consisting of the SFF-Bestflyerhere, SFF-Wellington, SFF-Adun, SFCR-Stratus, and the SFDS-Daughtless we proceeded from Leeds into Kusari space. Encountering some resistance along the way, the standard patrol pilots (NPCs) in Tau-31 and Tau-29 couldn't withstand the combined strengths of this small SF fleet.
Once in Kyushu, we proceeded to engage defensive forces protecting the planet. Taking advantage of flaws in the Kusari ships design, the defensive patrols were easily overpowered. A freelance trader was the only notable ship in the area and was left to his own devices.
With the success of the raid on Kyushu and with no sign of heavier resistance, SFF-Wellington and SFDS-Daughtless took advantage of the situation and proceeded deeper into New Tokyo to strike at the ship producing capabilities of the KNF. Protected by some standard patrols, the raid on Yokohama Shipyard was pulled off with no difficulties.
The supplies lost should effect the KNF's ability to produce ships.

Subject: Delayed Battle Report
Yesterday in Cambridge a Battleship was intercepted by the SFCR-Stratus.
With the assistance of SFF-Bestflyerhere, it was a short lived battle as he quickly realised he was outgunned...He fled from Cambridge. The ship was a Corsair tagged and ID'd Osiris transmitting the name Zoner[BS].

Clarification...the HF are denied access to Bretonia and can be considered hostile, but they are not to be provoked (offensively struck). There's plenty of offensive opportunities against the Kusari, as well as defensive opportunities locally. Bretonia does not need to provoke the HF by attacking their ships in Magellan, likewise attacking Corsair ships in Omega-5, both systems are outside of Bretonia's control. You may assist traders as needed but if looking for a fight or some place to strike then head north, that's where the majority of Bretonia's focus should be with the Kusari war.
We already have Mollys to the West, Corsairs to the South and Outcasts/Kusari to the North. I don't think we need Hackers from the East. Let Liberty deal with them. If SA wants a hand and your other duties aren't in the way then feel free to assist, but don't go into Magellan looking for a fight.

Pleased to announce a new addition to our forces. Morrigan will be first assisting Battlegroup Stormpike in its defense against the Kusari advance. Welcome him to the SF and if there are any questions feel free to ask. As customary with any new recruit (as well as other suitable occassions ;))...head on up to Cambridge Research Station (CRS) for a round on the admiralty from Joanne.

Status Report: SFBS-MAGNIFICENT
After engaging in a wargame exercise with the SFBS-Victory, the UOG decided to cease the opportunity and engaged both vessels with 3 bombers. Having removed bot and batts for the wargame, the Magnificent suffered heavy damage and was easily disabled (death). With the Victory still under attack, fighters were dispatched from Cambridge. Repairs on the Magnificent underway.
Status Report: SFF-GRYPHON
Engaged bombers from the UOG in the Cambridge area, my fighters manuverability posed a significant threat for the bombers, but with their ability to take out shields and destory a fighter's hull instantly one good pass was all it took. After disabling the Victory, the SFGB-KING'S_LYNN was dispatched from Cambridge and managed to nail one of the bombers who was quickly rescued by his commrades. My templar was destroyed and I ejected safely being rescued by local police forces.
Status Report: SFB-BETA1
With reports of UOG activity, and having previously engaged one in New London but loosing track of him in an ion storm (real-life interruption). Moved towards Cambridge but received reports of a UOG cruiser entering New London. Waiting at the trade lane, the cruiser was making an intercept coarse for Cambridge and I engaged. Battle was more or less a stalemate, my ship able to avoid taking heavy damage but unable to inflict enough either, particular with some shots not registering on the ships hull, might be some type of phase technology (Huggy). Upon damaging the King's_Lynn, the 2 remaining bombers in Cambridge entered the New London area and proceeded to assist their cruiser. Facing 3 on 1 odds, I withdrew back to Waterloo Station and used its superstructure to limit the abilities of their cruiser. Facing mainly the bombers, I was able to hold my own, but like Gryphon one good pass was all it took. I safely ejected and was rescued by local BAF forces.
(good fights, no complaints other than the number of bombers involved but meh whatever works).

A reminder that we are still looking to finalize our ranking system. Here's how things currently would look if we went with the new ranks (i've modified the encounter/post count requirements for the lower ranks such that you need X encounters as your new rank rather than cummulative, the time consuming part for cadets will be rep obtaining, for lieutenants its encounters and reping all ships, for lt. commanders its encounters):
Combat Level Cadet - Fighters Only (New member to Discovery)
Requirement for Next Rank: Has one SF fighter BAF Guard Friendly and tagged BAF or BAF Guard & 2 PvP encounter report (from the reports looking for some RP and good interactions with others, encounter can be as simple as scanning a bunch of passing traders or a full out battle, outcome of the report (win or loss, etc) would not be important, its the good interactions with others that is key)
Lieutenant - Gunboat and Down (Knows something about the operation of Discovery)
Requirement for Next Rank: Total of 3 or more PvP encounter reports (at least one as a battle) as a Lieutenant and all SF ships BAF Guard Friendly and BAF or BAF Guard tagged
Lieutenant Commander - Cruiser and Down (Knows something about the operation of Discovery and the SF)
Requirement for Next Rank: Total of 5 or more PvP encounter reports (at least two as a battle) as a Lieutenant Commander, all SF ships BAF Guard Friendly and BAF or BAF Guard tagged
Commander - Anything (Knows about the operation of Discovery and the SF, highest obtainable "grunt" rank)
Requirement for Next Rank: Desire to become more involved with SF background operations such as recruitment, storage, recommendation of two or more Captain+
Command Level Ranks Captain - Anything (Involved in the background operations of the SF)
Requirement for Next Rank: Desire to become heavily involved with SF background operations and the well being of the faction, recommendation of two or more Commodore+
Commodore - Anything (Heavy decision and adminstrator for the SF)
Requirement for Next Rank: Desire to run a faction and recommendation of majority of SF members, step-down or removal of current admiral
Admiral - Anything (Held accountable for SF actions, End Descision Maker)

Cheers. For the Queen and Bretonia.
Thank you Admiral.
Hello to all, glad to be part of the team, or soon to be. I'm taking care of some personal affaiirs on Manhattan at the moment, will head for Cambridge asap. I'm not much up on the Bretonian fighter craft so some advice on a good solid heavy (Templar, Werewolf?) would be appreciated.
Call sign is "Renegade", see you in space, or at the pub.

"To gain a hundred victories in a hundred battles is not the highest excellence;
to subjugate the enemy's army without doing battle is the highest of excellence."
Mollys and KNF have had it too good for too long. One of these days, we need a raid.
Also, my Templar fighter has recently been delivering "less-than-satisfactory" performance. I will be purchasing a Manta from Freistadt soon, although if there's anything better, I am taking suggestions, as I now have money to spare. ((Economic prosperity))
