Why do so many people play guitar and/or bass?

It's just.. so typical. I rarely meet someone that plays something more.. exotic, uncommon, or not in the whole string family. Why? :/

Well once you get to know your instrument you'll love it and you simply won't put that away.
Also i do learned Piano for 2 years when i was young and handsome;)Plus i play Drums in my band...
