Some mins ago i went in my mercenary char to omicron ganma (as it had some equipment i wished to buy), i hailed some corsairs, (im green with corsairs).
After leaving the planet they begun firing, but in that moment i though was a "joke", but things begun serious, when my armor begining to drop.
No advice or something like in chat before that moment (example asking for cash or leave the system ).
with 2 corsair GBs and a bomber, i decided to run.
From time to time i disengaged the cruiser engine allowing the enemy to fire first (so no shield running), in the travel from omicron ganma to cambridge, they begun talking of the reson, some days ago i escorted a trader (unseele a GC char trading in "uber" route) and i got serious combats against OPG clan, so they decided without advice or warning to attack me.
without shield reps and some less bots and 2 GBs and 1 bomber chasing i decided to dock in cambridge, in that moment they kept firing at me till some1 in that GROUP told them to stop.
they said i was dead, loose the combat and so on (yes they won but i was alive), some1 said they couldnt reengage after the dock, as a rule, so i decided to undock and leave, they begun firing again, and i escaped (again the same guy of before spoke them to stop firing).
few mins later i begun firing against one of them (i got him while docking in a trade lane), and i stoped with half of his hull.

looking the rules of rp server i found this ones maybe related to this engagement
6.2 If a player is attacked*, he has a right to defend himself regardless of who is attacking. There are no restrictions for self-defense.
6.7 Dock-killing is not allowed.
7.1 PvP combat is allowed only on roleplay basis. The pilot who is attacking must scan for an ID prior to the attack. Relying on general reputation status (red/neutral/green) without scanning for the ID is not allowed.
7.8 Owners of Bounty Hunter/Mercenary IDs have a right to attack:
- Pirates
- Traders ships carrying smuggled goods and refusing to drop them

so i have some questions ( THIS IS NOT A COMPLAIN).
1 I as Merc can dock in "friendly" ports (green ones), yes or not?.
2 if a merc id doing a job (killing or escorting some1), with the job ended, can the "target" or "enemy" attack the merc char even if he is at green status?.
3 do we have a rule about ending of engagement after a dock? and related to this one
Can we (one side or both) reengage if the guy who was docked "undock"?
4 looking 7.8 rule,
Are the same a pirate and a corsair?
5 if some1 break a rule in a group, the break is for all the group or only for the one who breaks the rule?.

thanx for any advice.....i strongly recommed the admins to update server rules.
1. Despite what your ID says your alignment (tag) is also important. Outcast allied merc will surly be attacked by corsairs and vice versa....If u have BHG tag..well...then probably u shouldn't dock on corsair or outcast base...with Merc ID things get to be tricky...no real answer there...some might say u can dock everywhere...mostly it depends on your reputation among players (not game related)...
2. if u escort trader and hes getting pirated u will be attacked...if u go on bounty job and kill faction tagged player it is very big possibility that u will get attacked by rest of them..your reputation wont matter cause u have Merc ID...
3. Dock kills are against the rules...but they differ...if u attack player who docks and is in docking sequence he cant be harmed...but if u attack undocking one he can be harmed...there was 10 second protection from damage by FLhook ...not sure if that is still operational...

5. for the one who broke the rule (unless whole group participated or planning rule breakage)...
6. yes..everything they do is for money... sides don't matter to them
