Scene: A Leisure Lounge for the staff aboard the Yokohama Shipyards. A typical bar setup. Bar on one end, stage on the other. Booths around the edges and tables in the middle. With a small-ish dance floor infront of the stage.
Kaido Marahu sits in a booth, shuffling some papers, waiting for The so called 'Musica' to arrive for the meeting. Drinking a water and ice, too early for Sake he thinks.
Around him the light hustle and bustle of employees taking their break, nodding to Kaido as they pass in respect.
As he entered the lounge, although discreetely, the energy of the place rose. Musica wore a simple pair of white shirt and a red business suit over it. The signature helmet displayed a bouncing smile with the occasional appearance of music symbols around it as he walked. Not too far behind came three other Kusarian and the Samuran guide, far more business dressed with the exception of the girl.
The first man of a pair wore square glasses and full black, and while the sides of his head still had hair, the bald top shone with the lights of the place. He held a briefcase on one of his hands and seemed to be speaking on a comm device rigged on his ear. From the attire, one could safely assume that man was Musica's lawyer.
The second one, however, looked nothing like the first. If one would imagine taking away the dark glasses and putting up a centuries-old armour, the midsized, midaged japanese man would certainly look like a samurai. Scanning everyone on the room as he followed from a fixed distance, the bodyguard seemed to be making calculations about which ways to employ should anyone try anything 'funny', though judging by his appearance the man's definition of 'funny' wasn't what it was meant to be.
The last person, however, had absolutelly no idea where she was. Smaller than anyone else, the japanese girl had deep-pink hair, fashion-yellow glasses and spurt every pallet collor possible on her attire, without repeating itself once - except perhaps for her shoes, which had the same color.
Musica came foward, guided by the Samuran and followed only by his bodyguard, greeting anyone who came close enough. He expected to be expected, however, and decided to make it simple. As he came close to the booth where Kaido sat, the helmet display changed to a smiling icon, nothing else. Crystal clear, the helmet spoke, synthesizing his voice as he drew close to a handshake.
Musica: "Konnichiwa Marahu-sama. It's very good to meet you in person."
Kaido Stands, hand outstretched to the man clad in helmet and red suit. He grasps his hand firmly in a shake with a smile.
Kaido looks young, despite this he holds an air of authority about him. Wearing a very neutral purple button up shirt and black pants, untucked and top button open.
Kaido: Please be seated! Let us talk about our futures together. There is enough room for the entire entourage here *he gestures to the other people with Musica*
He sits back down and tidies his papers up a little.
The smiling icon on the helmet stands, and as Musica starts to get confortable, the others approach. He chuckles lightly as he speaks of Endo.
Musica: "These are Nobuo Tsugawa, my lawyer, and this is... Endo, my... companion. And ah, that's Juni, a fan."
Bowing as they are reffered, the Lawyer stays near while the other two don't - Juni seem to have found some drink on the bar, while the bodyguard scouts the room a few steps away.
Musica: "Please don't mind Fusahide, my family worries a lot about my health."
The last line said as whisper, the artist lays back a bit, seeming relaxed as he speaks
Musica: "This is a very impressive place. Beautiful architecture. It's no wonder the Samura was one of the choices that came up when I made the decision to go into space."
Seeing Musica relax prompted Kaido to lean back in his seat and relax himself. He smiles at the compliment to Samuran Architecture.
Kaido: Hai, this place is indeed a beautiful place to work. I was especially happy when I was selected to be the Chief Shipwright here.
I hate to be so blunt, but as you know the corporate world never stops. So I must press on with our negotiations. I'd like to know what you yourself are looking for from our fair company. What do you expect? Do you have any specific demands or requests?
He sits forward a little, pen in hand now with a notepad in front of him. The smile never left his face
Musica: "As the press has already released, I have plans to acquire myself a liner and use it as the station I have already told you about. My goals in contacting enterprises such as yours, are to reach out to those who have the resources and clearances to make it happen."
Musica gesticulates as he speaks, trying to polite but direct.
Musica: "There are few to none requests to be made aside from the obvious one. Despite having the financial resources to do so, I imagine each company holds regulations about ship specifics - and are those that worry me."
He stops for a brief moment, as the helmet display changes to a question mark and he takes a more serious tone.
Musica: "To delve into details, the only request I need tended to is simple: If I had decided, for example, to request a Renzu Liner, modified to my needs, and supplied the corret ammount of finances to it, would Samura be able to make the purchase and have the personel to regulate, repair and man one?"
Kaido writes down a few things on his notepad. The smile never faltering from his face.
A Shukensha you say? Interesting, This'll be something I'd have to discuss with the other directors, as its a rather large purchase to make myself. As you know those lovely ships are not quite the cheapest thing on the market
He Chuckles, gestures out a nearby window, where a Samura logo'd Shukensha is docked.
That's mine, a personal purchase I made upon making Director. It is usually the place I do business, but today... today Yokohama beckoned.
So yes, A discussion with my Director Associates. If we agree, funds will be appropriated to a new Liner for the purposes of Samuran Foreign Relations and Recruitment. Hai, I like that
He writes his statement down with a childish like grin.
Is there anything else you'd like to discuss? Perhaps in the event an agreement is made, possibilities of the future?
Clearly satisfied with the answer, Musica's voice seems joyfull.
Musica: "There is the matter of... Methods, however. An image like mine has to be kept, such as yours. If you dont mind the bluntness, I have to ask what kind of restrictions would arise should this works out. As in what would be expected of me, what would be my responsabilities, and so on."
As he finishes the phrase his lawyer seems suddenly interested. With a data pad in hand, he listens attently.
Restrictions, I prefer to think of them as Guidelines really. As a Kusari Citizen you're already doing the majority of what we would ask, but ontop of that, while operating on a Samuran marked ship, we would ask for you to follow the Employee handbook rules. Which can be found in this Book.
He slides over a datapad with the Samuran Logo on it.
Basically any rules in here. Other than that, common sense would be your guide. Be a good face and stick to what you know best.
Kaido's smile falters a little
We would ask that you don't openly support any known criminal organizations, no matter who or what would seem to support them. Such as the GC girls, AFA, Corsairs, Etcetera. You understand I hope.
The visor goes pitch black when Kaido mentions outlaws. A few seconds later a smile outfitted with cop attire takes place.
Musica: "It's good that you mentioned that... I will assume you imagine I get all kinds of public on my attendances - regardless of social or religious affiliation. While my shows are fully regulated by security teams and so on, to restrict their presence is like tossing away money."
He chuckles as his lawyer gives him a look.
Musica: "Obviously, however, to openly support the bigger pirate parties is not something I'm bound to do, I just hope you understand I do not want my vessel to be seen as a... well, drop off for military. I even hope to make a few 'pirates' look away this way."
