.86 NON English installer?

Hello Cannon,

Now that one of my final exams is over i tried again (since i tried it once) to install the new mod.
But this time i noticed that you demanded a clean ENGLISH installation.
I do have an original CD, but its GERMAN.
Can you please release a 86 patch for that as well?

I can provide you with the check sums and such if you need.

Edit:
As an idea, you could make an unlocalized installer if you exclude the localized files from the checksum.
Those are not important for the game mechanics anyway (i suppose).
Which ones those are could be easily found out by comparing our two foldalyzer outputs of the fl folder.

If you own the game, it's completely legal to download an English copy of it. If that keeps you from playing right now, ask a 2milordie guy in case you don't know instantly what to do.

Ja. Next update, we'll do a full installer release that works for a number of non english installs.

Unfortunatelly I assume that is only correct if the license you bought allows that.
And since i do not know the license...
how ever in the end i think it would depend on microsoft, if they care or if they don't.
Would be cool of them if they would offer FL for download, like a free game. Like they released the editor tools for fl....

i know your feeling i got a german FL version too....
I had to download a "pirate" version of Freelancer to run the mod-.-
But now the mod works fine with it.

There is a way to install the mod on a german fl version:

You need some files in the german folder:

EBUEula.dll
Readme.rtf

mix_s072c.wav
mix_s072d.wav

docking_ringx2_lod.sur

1033/dwintl.dll

We "extrakt" them from the english demo version and made a zip file. And it works perfectly.
