Trying to pass 200mill credits from one character to another (both mine), I had 2 x 100mill credit cards.
I didn't want to bug other characters making the pass so I blew them into space. Changed characters, hmm, where's my cash?
I tested the method many times with small amounts and it has worked with no problems.
Can this be fixed or has the money gone for good?
Anything Admin can do?
Self-transfers always carry risks. It could be that they where tractored by another player, or that they just simply disappeared.
And for the record, using players for transfers is a risky business too. I lost 500 million credits through being scammed while transferring, only last night.
Luckely, I had a battleship, and a load of friends on-line to come with me to intimidate him into giving back what he had.
He now owes me 100 mill...which I may or may not get back.
Yes, that is verrry risky, because if youre the only one in the system when doing that.... then the system resets when you start the new char and stuff goes bye bye. Heck, I think it even has to have a player within a certain range.
Hmm, about player scams, always try to use someone that's proven themselves to be honest (like me:P)

Difficult one to answer concerning admin intervention. Do you have any screenshots of the character before
and after the 'transaction'? ... To be fair to everyone else, not the first time someone has tried to get money
for old rope ...
The loss of the cards could be down to quite a few factors, though the usual one comes from trying to change
chars waaay too fast, and logging out before the cards have actually left the hold of the ship. Though this
should have been adressed by the 20 second delay in use of the F1. On vanilla ships, if you log before the
shields come back up, it will also cause the loss of dropped cargo.
In future use any of the high level players here in well established factions, as they certainly won't be stealing
your credits. Any of the 'Bank' and 'Store' characters around New York should fulfill the criteria.

Fortunately it still is ... 198 - Congo_Square - 78 - $231,713,937 - 3,004 - 94:35:47 - 39 - 82 - 145 - 178 - 12:09:23 - Today
Though unfortunately, not my decision to make. Wasn't a server problem, more like operator error. May have
to chalk that one up to experience.
And please guys, this is not an admin problem in the future, it's your choice to move the money in this way,
so if you do make a mistake ... like we all have done in the past, only once ... you may have to suck it up and
get trading again. Not the first, and pretty sure, not the last time this will happen.
I think one of my first ever threads here was about exactly the same thing ... Though I wasn't asking for the
money back, just trying to work out what went wrong ...

np Hoodlum, my point was exactly what you said in your last post.
Get help, do it right. And the Admin request was a shot in the dark.
My Congo character already had 240mill, I just wanted to pass the next 200 mill over too, but I live and learn.
