Currently 2 pirate factions have what they call a ceasefire with another lawful faction that they are suppose to oppose. They call it a ceasefire but let's look at the definition of ceasefire:

Ceasefire

1. agreement to stop fighting: an agreement between opposing sides in a conflict that they will stop fighting, usually for a limited time during which they will try to reach a more permanent peace agreement

Now, I could certianly see them doing this, but what we have is a pirate attacking said lawful faction and not belonging to any groups. Pirate faction then comes to their Aid of the lawful. Sounds like an alliance to me.

The definition you have presented is indeed correct. It is also the essential agreement between the KNF and those nasty pirates you mentioned.

Now, said agreement does not preclude the sharing of intel between said parties. You have pirated traders and friends of both parties to the agreement. You are, in essence a common enemy, and therefore a threat to the ceasefire, should your pirating be condoned by either side.

What either party chooses to do with the intel about your actions is totally at their discretion.

Aye, we have because RP quite obviously dictates our actions.

the Union of gold is formed by the support of outcasts and hessians, mostly to fight corsairs.

the corsairs are 'supporting' kusari in the kusari - bretonian war, and the outcasts (Our financiers) are 'supporting' bretonia.

we can hardly go against our financiers, and aid our greatest enemy(corsairs) by making the bretonians weaker.

however, once the war is over...

I have never attacked a Bushido or Novapg, I have however attacked KNF. A Ceasefire does not make you friends. It's just an aggreement to stop shooting eachother.

They might not be friends, but they *are* shooting a common enemy. May as well give them information that makes more of said common enemy deceased, no?

Dragoons and GC are not enemies with my faction, nor have I attacked them. So no common enemy?
