I heard of GalEx attempting to buy Ontario as its home system. Can a trader faction buy a home system? If so than RepEx has more that enough to already do so, and therefore would want to.

I doubt that this is possible. Trading NPC corporations don't even HAVE guards. Only the fight capable ones do. Look at it with several views, would a trading company NEED a whole system for themselves? It just doesn't really fit.....

Perhaps to exploit and control natural resources? Doesnt sound like a good idea though.

But technically speaking, OSC is, they are in the same basket as Cryer (GalEx), Interspace Commerce(IND), and Republican Shipping (RepEx). All corporate entities and not related to any House, in a miltaristic sense anyway. I mean c'mon OSC is Orbital Spa and Cruise, the product might be different but in an RP sense the goal and status are the same.

The idea was to make a resort system with Planet Gaia style planets, buetiful nebulas and astroid fields, a few dockable cruise liners, and decent prices for luxury goods. It would be ballenced trade wise, and give us OSC traders somewhere else to go besides the two cruise liners and one planet that OSC has now.

I think the bottom line is that if the NPC faction you are alligned with does not have a guard system, you cant own a system. At least thats what makes sense to me. Admins???
