So, to cut it short, I agree with Globalo, please let us know when you come, so that we can have a "equal" waiting for you. It is after all our home system.
You're joking, right? What if Hitler gave advanced warning to the allies, or Napoleon to the Haitians a few years before hand before he used a capitalistic excuse to f*&^ them over? Are you listening to yourselves??!!
Role-playing means you PORTRAY THE ROLE YOU ARE DEALT. Role-playing is just that. No more, no less. It doesn't mean, "Oh lets change our characters whenever we feel like it, because we don't like unexpected circumstances." Wars are not fought by letting the others know what you are going to do...!!!!
Or are you going to use that idiotic "friendly fire" argument? Which, of course, there is no such thing.
Either the Corsairs and Outcasts (and similarly, other groups) are enemies, or they are not!! According to Freelancer they are!!! Therefore, advanced warning would go against everything for which this game stands, AND against all logic.

This is Apocalypse2001 and you've just been given simple, honest, direct language. Euphemism free.
Jinx, first maybe my bad that i used bad words, but i was really not pointing on gamkink or pvp whoring,
i was pointing on that what i typed...
Second, only recent fight that i was part of was in delta, where i arrived in the middle of the fight...
But i am sure thst you can ask many RoS or 101 members that in past we typed about attacks and waited until enemy has enough ships...
Eppy, long range scanners,i looked on them and MNS ships were in eta almost hour...how long it take to travel trough theta? 50 seconds???
' Wrote:You... do realise MNS isn't an actual faction, right?
This. And I really want people to understand and remember that. Each MNS without an additional faction tag is responsible for himself, as is each LNS, HMS, RNC, IKN, RNS and whatever else is to be found out there as capital ship indicator. Adressing/blaming the MNS as a whole for it would include all factionized outcast capital ships, including the 101st ones since we are using the same letter too. And I'm 100% sure that there was no 101st vessel involved since I was the only one on his 101st at the time they started and refused to fly with them.
Furthermore, by the time they started to move their way down, the numbers looked far more equal checking the chatlog, so I didn't care much about it, expecting the corsairs to be able to call some more guys themselves (as they usually do).
' Wrote:I seriously still think that Outcasts/Corsairs shouldn't be able to raid Gamma/Alpha and fight in the Sigmas/Theta/Eta instead.
It has been tried for some time, but it nullifies the war doing so since corsairs barely care to move into those systems.
' Wrote:Go play the game, within the given limitations. That is how role play games are played. Not by trying to work around those limitations or whining about them.
I like this idea, even when the moment of surprise falls out, and i have only one reason for that: i have flown such a raid with other MNS ships together and in fact at end it gets horribly boring when you dont have anyone to fight with... i dont count a fighter or two and a single cruiser three times shot down in a row...
The point is, how to organise it, because like it was already mentioned, MNS is not a faction, and the main player base are indie players which i doubt ever come to look here on the forum or are even registered here
anyway i guess it will stay the old way as it is now
' Wrote:I thought it was supposed to be about having fun? I'm not sure I see the logic in playing something that is not fun?
umm yeah, it IS fun:dry:But be logical about it. There's no point in having friends or enemies if everybody gives pre-cognitive information that basically negates role-playing. Doing that is also an out of character action.
