For example, Corsair <strike>troll groups</strike> factions will go "RP CONSEQUENCES STOP Q_Qing" while Zoners will point out the complete lack of fair play and poor roleplay justifications of the opposite side.
Order, being natural friends with Zoners, jumped in to help them against Corsairs. For some reason BHG Core allied with Corsairs to balance things out. I still haven't figured out why in RP would a private army team up with a criminal organisation which they've been enemies with since settlement. Now that Order sees Corsairs with BHG, their little alliance went poof and they're now enemies.
i know cabulb.
It keeps me up at night:)
EDIT: originally i think the corsairs fight was jsut with fp9.
Wasnt until bhg started their own zonerzonerzoner taht sails jumped in in Delta.
Although they do both have similar complaints.
Namely, Order and Outcasts fleets staging attacks form teh freeports.
gone four years, first day back: Zoners still getting shot in Theta :|
Brief chronology:
- Some Zoner traders behaved arrogantly against a pirate or two, stating they could not be pirated "or else FR5..."
- Pirate Q_Q'd, and proceeded with a blanket bonus on Zoners.
- Zoners Q_Q'd even though noone collected on the bonus (but Zoners were frequently attacked under this pretense). Big forum stink, blanket bounty was locked.
- Pirate gathers a few friends, they make a few Corsair alternates labeled [A], and start some crusade against Zoners.
- Corsair main factions ignore this behaviour. Sails side with the [A] lot.
- Zoners band up with SCRA and a few other unlawful factions around Freeport 1. It ends up with a mass attack at the station and even the BAF siding against them.
- Freeport 1 is damaged.
- Meanwhile, in the Omicrons, some Zoners decide to retaliate by launching some caps into Omicron Gamma. Corsairs retaliate against Freeport 9, all Corsair factions now involved.
- Freeport 9 loses it's biodomes. Corsairs tried to capture them, but the Zoners sabotaged them, rendering them sterile.
- Order starts to actively side with, and protect the Zoners.
- TAZ withdraws from the Zoner Alliance. ZDF disbands.
- Zoner Alliance disbands. The individual zoner groups go their own way.
- Corsair/zoner conflict more or less peters out, Corsairs feeling the Zoners have had enough. [A] vanishes as a player group...
- OSI renames itself Omicroners and starts to isolate itself, remaining friendly with Order.
- BHG issues an ultimatum to Omicroners basically demanding equal docking rights for their vessels as Order vessels.
- Ultimatum expires and BHG attacks Zoners. A mixed Zoner/Order fleet defends. Some Corsairs join in, presumably to get some payback against Order for their assistance in Gamma invasions in the previous conflict.
- Omicroners declare Omicron 74 closed.
- BHG/Omicroners conflict ends, with BGH feeling they have enforced their demands.
And that is where we stand right now I believe. Did I miss anything?

The Zoners were massive douchebags and resorted to self defence instead of getting on their knees and performing sexual favours like the sides that attacked them wanted.
The Zoners exist because people make uses for them, the moment the Zoners start defending themselves and puffing out their chests, factions like the Corsairs and BHG step in and push em down.
' Wrote:Order, being natural friends with Zoners,
This is another problem, having factions with barely any friends standing up for you, like the SCRA and Order, means the enemies of those factions are more inclinded to shoot you.
Why would the Corsairs stop shooting the Zoners when the Zoners ally with 80% of the Corsair's enemies?
The Zoners would be fine had they just got on their knees and taken one for the team.
Zoners are like that geeky kid that people push around, he just hands over his lunch money and goes unnoticed, stealing it back (and some) when the bullies stop noticing him, this is how they've survived for hundreds of years. Forming leadership, building caps and fighting back was the Zoner's fault, and the Zoner's mistake.
FYI, the OSI should just get a contract with the Corsairs to deliver goods and carry on as if nothing happened, it's the Zoner Indies that are causing most of the problems.
