Considering most believe that Nomz are evil, Order propaganda was well working =).

It is like a medallion with 2 sides, each claiming the other side to be wrong =). Nice game dynamics.

Also saying that something is incorrect in a two sided dilemma would be wrong as wrong in a story driven universe where story is being handled multi-headedly and from different perspectives, turns out to be yet another perspective totally.

Therefore, yes - Nomads are evil, and no - Nomads are not evil. Its only about your perception IN GAME.

OORP wise, they are just another species with their own agenda.

Reapers of Mass Effect is a different thing. Its like "Harvesters" coming to crop the fields. There is no conflict of interest as in occupying the same space etc. Its more like "Santa's back in town!"

From what I recall, the Nomads began to clear out humanity after Von Rohe cracked their planet open and got the entire crew infested. From there, they simply worked on infesting humanity to weaken it enough to clear it out. No evil-ness there, just the Nomads trying to reclaim their homes from humanity, the burglars.

And FYI, when you destroy a Nomad ship, you don't get a live Nomad, you get a nice pile of dead biomass.

When a Nomad's physical form is destroyed, it disconnects and returns to the Mindshare to regrow. Killing Nomads doesn't kill Nomads, as they're effectively immortal.

Also, with the element of surprise lost to both the Order and the Nomads, neither side will be able to wipe each other out sufficiently, it's another Corsair vs Outcast scenario, cept the Order have all of humanity behind them, making every fight an unfair fight.

Reapers in Freelancer? They're here already. Sure, they look kind of primitive and basic, but that's what happens when you break Zoners down to make them.

Besides, I'm sure Akura is right about the single player campaign being better for Freelancer's humanity if the Order hadn't interfered. I mean, it's not like anyone likes that pesky life thing. I'm sure they'd all have appreciated having humanity tear itself apart at the behest of shape-shifting parasites, followed by a crippling final extermination from a checkmate alien invasion.:P

Still, I understand where you're coming from on the metaissue of moral highground. It would be like comparing them to the Native Americans of old. If the Natives scalped people. While they were alive. Then took over their brains. And made white people kill each other via mind control. And the settlers didn't know the Natives were there, until they wandered into the Black Mountains and cracked open a burial ground where they all happened to be taking a nap.
