Well, to get the FL IFF you gotta' get atleast a double, or triple bribe at Barrier Gate. That means you have to re-enter the bar until you have 3 people in there who offer Freelancer bribes. And you have to take them all together.
Once you took only one, your rep with them is too high to bribe, and must be lowered first, which is (for the FL IFF) pretty hard.
i have another question but i did not want to make new topick just for that
it is about capital ships
i understand why house militarys and outcast and corsairs have them
but not why some pirates, zoners, bhg, img
why do they have them?
can i have one? (i have read somewere that if you buy some battleship that fraction can put you on wanted list)
what can bhg do with them and can they traverl anyware with them?
what is use of having zoner battleship when they have allmost no enemyes?
why img have battleships when they are just miners? (then bmm, dse, kruger could have some battleships too)
i have lot of question i know but i hope that someone can answer it
First, As long as you have the right ID, IFF and Tech combination, you can buy any ship you want as an Indie, and the Official factions cannot stop you as long as you use it right.
And then, Why each of those factions have Capital Ships?
- Zoners: Zoner Capital Ships are either Colonization or Exploration Vessels (like Jinkusu & Corvo), or are made for Defensive purposes against Nomads or Diplomatic Hostiles (like Fearless). People have been RPing Zoner Caps as Exploration vessels or mobile Freeports and such, so, Not having many enemies doesn't make Zoner Caps useless.
- The Core: The most important note about the Core is that they are not Bounty Hunters, they are a Private Military Corp type of Group who mainly aim for gaining access to Nomad Tech, and as a PMC who also own a major Shipbuilding faction (AP Manufacturing), they have developed their own line of Capital Ships.
- IMG: The Guild's Capital Ships are not for Defensive or Offensive purposes. They're built as Research/Exploration vessels for studying new Mining fields and exploring isolate systems that might hold valuable minerals.
But, why don't the other Mining Groups have Capital ships? That is because BMM, DSE, Daumann, Kruger and every other Mining group except the GMG, are House Corporations. Their protection in situations where capital ships might be needed is handled by the House Military, while GMG and IMG are Independent Mining factions, who have turned into Paramilitary groups over time, to be able to protect themselves against Pirates and Hostiles... And even then, IMG Capital ships are not made for defensive purposes.
Why GMG doesn't have Capital Ships? That is because of their main zone of operation, which is the Sigmas, where Capital ships are nearly useless due to Nebulae and Explosive cloud fields, while snubcrafts can be much more effective in such environments.
Also, about the BHG Core Capital ships area of operation - If you check the Core ID, you'll notice a line which says Capital ships cannot enter House Space. So if you plan to buy a Core Capital ship, it's best if you stay in Omegas and Omicrons (And even though the Core caps can enter Taus as well, they wont do so unless they have a really good reason to).
thank you very much for reply
so i can buy scylla or spyglass but i must obay all rules and as they say i can't pirat with them or i can buy order geb but i need to be in their zoi and hunt nomads
That's the point, you can buy a Rogue/Molly Scylla or an Order Geb, but not a Spyglass.
Some IDs don't allow certain ship types, so you'll need an SRP to fly those ships. Like Spyglass for Hackers, because Lane Hacker Guard ID doesn't allow battleships, so even though they own the Tech, they can't fly it without an SRP. Pretty much the same deal with Unioners and Rheinland Pirate Cruiser... Even though the infocard suggests Unioners are one of the main groups using that ship, they can't fly it without an SRP because of their Guard ID ship restriction.
So, if the Guard ID allows that class of Capital Ship, and you use it within the rules - Yes, you can buy as many Capitals as you can afford.
