Sirs, today, I was contacted by one Tiny.Pink.Piggy, who claimed that he or she was carrying a load of artifacts bound for Planet Manhattan, in addition to nomads. He informed me that they would fly through the Alaska system and to the Planet, and that he required an escort so to avoid getting pirated. It turned out that this was simply an elaborate ruse to get the Navy to wait for him to come from Alaska, while a spotter in the New York system would let him know where our forces were.
As we laid in wait, the smuggler(who somehow found his way into a secure system), outwaited us by docking on a Liberty Naval facility. He claims that he needed to take shelter from attacking Nomads and docked on a Prison station. I surmise that it was most likely prison station Mitchell.
As a result, I ask that the High Command immediately mark this pilot as blacklisted(//FR5) from any naval bases, just in case this was true.
Unfortunately, when he did announce that he arrived in New York, he gave us the slip and escaped, as we were occupied with other matters at the time.
The criminal is a dastardly one and should not be underestimated. I bear the full responsibility for his escape and his transport of contraband goods to Planet Manhattan.

Confirming reports made by Recruit Mitch Hollywood and Ensign Arthur Crawler, this pilot appears to be sending out fake distress calls to Navy operators near his proximity. It seems he uses this in an attempt to divert our attention so he can smuggle artifact into Liberty space undetected. He seems to be using the Alaska route. We have also received reports of a possible co-pilot who acts as this smuggler's main spotter and recon-agent.

BATTLE REPORT - NEW YORK SYSTEM (Coordinates: [color=#FF0000]CLASSIFIED)
Unauthorized unit breached the outer defence system of the Z-21 mine-field. Target was given one warning to depart immediately from the sector. Target initiated cruise engines and reached a distance of 2K before returning to previous location. Order was given to neutralize the target.

Lets start, shall we.
One minor infraction by a trade vessel boasting about moving goods from Rheinland. Vessel classified as a Rheinland Behemoth transport, which is of course, currently illegal under our laws.
I'm not about to shoot down a transport full of Vacationers, so that one was allowed to pass. Be on the lookout.
Next, Jenna Strawberry, apparently a recent graduate from West Point gone rogue (obviously), is to be shot down wherever she is seen. I am in the process of compiling a seperate report to the repossession authorities to recover any public property from her further use.
As some of you may already know, the Primary Fleet is working on redefining the roles of our ranking system. Some of you have been contacted about possible promotions, others about demotions, and so on.
It's crucial that those contacted about demotions do not view this as a punishment of sorts, unless your name is Maximo Valeri, in which case it really was because you're a failure when it comes to discipline.
The situation should be made much clearer once the document defining the role of each rank within the Liberty Navy Primary Fleet is completed, compiled and published.
I got a tip that the Magellan is full of pirates.
I went to check and I did not find anyone.
In my return to New York I ran into IMG battle cruiser which had refused to leave Liberty and even opened fire on me.
I managed to avoid the fire and I docked to Los Angeles to call help.
Unfortunately, the cruise ship fled in the unknown direction...

Well; let's start at the beginning, shall we? After being issued my fresh Avenger (She turns like a brick; thankfully she hits like one too.), I headed out to New York via Texas following reports of a Phantom. Never quite made it, as I found an illegal ship hanging around Houston.
Transponder ID 'Caslav'
This bloke seemed to want to get himself shot. After I stopped him for his armament and informed him of Liberty Law on Rheinland weaponry, he gunned it. Lad claimed that he'd found it and was in Liberty to shoot Xenos. Last time I checked that's our job. Turned up around five minutes later with his tail between his legs once I let him know that he'd become a wanted criminal. *The Ensign grins*.
He complied with demands from there and headed out through Bering.
'Caslav' Departs
Following on; I headed out to Manhattan where one of our patrols, under the command of Vice Admiral Malrone was forming.
Naval Patrol Forces
A splinter group, consisting of three Liberty Navy officers including the Vice Admiral and I, relocated to California. A place that then seemingly became the hub of criminal activity. After receiving system wide taunts from 'The_Raven' I was posted to the Magellan Jumpgate to prevent his escape. To no avail, unfortunately. Additional Naval forces were dispatched to deal with the emergence of the Scylla destroyer 'Maelstrom'. Lacking any weaponry capable of dinting the thing, I held position near the gate, until called back.
Long range scanners indicated that known criminal 'Zodiac' had somehow reached New York. A system wide search operation was initiated, with my posting near Colorado jumpgate interrupted by engine trouble. From there, I set a course to Manhattan and maintenance.
The remaining forces were, I daresay, more then adequete. Notification of Zodiac's destruction was delivered shortly after.
Remaining Liberty Assets, Manhattan Orbit
Sir/Ma'am, bearing in mind my err... combat skills, I doubt I can provide much in the way of assistance in terms of direct combat with the Rheinland threat. With this situation as it is, I feel I could better aid the Navy through other operations. To this end, I would request permission to conduct a reconnaissance mission into Rheinland territory as follows:

Following Rheinlander incursions, and subsequent rebuttals, we still know suprisingly little of their true military capabilities. A recon mission will be conducted to better acess force strength and deployment ability.

- Sabotage Enemy production/supply facilities

Owing to it's exceptional record of survival in tough environments, and comparitively small profile, a single 'Avenger' class Very Heavy Fighter will be employed.

Following entry to the Hamburg system little is known of Rheinland military movements or civilian authority patrol routes. Information will be obtained upon arrival, and further infiltration of enemy territory will be attempted, if it is deemed safe to do so.

Ens Ripper has been implanted with a sub dermal chip. In the event of his capture it will activate, alerting Liberty Naval forces to his location via a series of VLF (Very Low Frequency) radio bursts. It is anticipated that the Ensign will last approximately 96 hours under intense interrogation (Owing to the ability of chips to secrete a dosage of anaesthetic as needed. Supplies will be exhausted after 48 hours.)
Ripper is not privy to any information regarding fleet movement or strength, therefore any impact on the Liberty war effort resulting from his capture will be minimal.

Catastrophic Damage:
As Capture. VLF beacon will be activated. Planetary landing is not to be attempted under any circumstances. If possible, contact with Bretonian forces will be attempted, and recovery requested.
Becoming Lost:
Route will be traced back via point of arrival, leading to a return through Minnesota.
Communication
Radio silence will be maintained throughout the duration of the mission. A full reports will be made to Liberty Navy Mid/High Command on return.
Sabotage
Due to his experience in the 6th Liberty Army Air Division, Ripper's training as an infantryman is not to be disregarded. Any sabotage operations will be conducted on foot as the situation demands.
Boundaries
Operation will be restricted to Liberty/Rheinland space. Excluding the possibility of Bretonian extraction.

Today I perfomed a patrol alongside Ensign Arthur Crawler. He jumped into Texas system in order to check any ships beaking the trade embargo. We didn't have to wait that much until we found one, Sandhawk(Attached data). At first, he tried to run, but once we disrupted the ship's engines a few times, the pilot decided to stop. It took us some time to deal with him because he was refusing to drop the cargo, but in the end, a LABC captain arrived (Cerberus.Mike, who was also complaining about certain points in Crawler's behaviour, though I didn't pay much attention). So, the trader dropped the cargo and was moved for further inspection.
While patrolling New York's lanes, I came across a pilot named Veera Allen, who was sitting near one of the lanes to Fort Bush -from Norfolk-. She didn't show any aggressive behaviour, so after using 'reverse psychology' for a few minutes, I managed to make her move away from the lanes. Nothing relevant.
Some time later, Ensigh Crawler reported unlawful activity in Colorado, near the New York Jump Gate. 2 Xeno Alliance ships, one Tridente and one Bayonet were shooting at each other. Sadly, I couldn't arrive in time and Crawler's ship was shot down by the Bayonet, though I could get his pod. Immeadiately after, I jumped into the fight, setting my priority on the Tridente . One of the Xenos got shot down, so the other one (A Roc) kept shooting at the Gunboat too, which was finally destroyed (Attached data). Then, I focused the fire on the Bayonet, whose hull was blasted (Attached data). By that time, Ross and Turner also arrived at Colorado, awaiting for my back-up call if needed. In the end, the Xeno managed to escape through the dense asteroid fields.

Attention all Recruits, Ensigns, Sub-Lieutenants, Lieutenants, Lieutenant Commanders, Commanders, Captains and anyone else who's obtained obscure ranks over the years,
Listen up, the entire ranking system of the Liberty Navy has received a complete overhaul. Below is a list of general changes to the ranks, sorted by command type:
Lower Command
Small changes to the upper echelons of lower command have been implemented:
A much better understanding of Liberty Law is required for promotion to Lieutenant and Lieutenant Commander.
Higher emphasis is placed on the command duties of Lieutenant Commanders – Either step up to the plate or you'll be reassigned to a less demanding position.
Mid Command
Most of the changes have been implemented here, making these ranks much harder to obtain and retain:
Excellent understanding and how to apply Liberty Law is required for all Mid Command ranks.
An outstanding awareness of battle-strategy is required for Mid Command.
Command abilities are advanced even further than the upper echelons of Lower Command, up to the point where any situation can be handled with a cool head by a member of Mid Command.
There will also be a set number of Captains in the Primary Fleet, their titles are, as follows:
Fighter-wing Captain
Capital-wing Captain
Special Operations Captain
Quartermaster
High Command

Every position retains the enormous amount of paperwork required to keep the Navy functioning smoothly.

Again, a simple formality. Your new rank is Lieutenant – You've done nothing but good work here, Lieutenant.
Angelina Dimitrova
You've shown charisma and good command abilities in your time here, Dimitrova. Not to mention your superb aim as a bomber pilot and your dedication to the Navy. As such, it is my pleasure to promote you to the rank of Lieutenant Commander. With this rank, you've been bestowed the duties of command - Don't make me look bad by screwing it up, Lieutenant Commander.
Virgil Redline
When you're not cracking jokes and walking that extremely thin line between poking fun and insubordination, you're serving Liberty to the highest standard possible. You take the ability to command multiple warships and take it one step further into new and unexplored territory – This same ability has earnt you the rank of Captain, assigned to Capital-wing strategies. Well done, Captain. Don't celebrate too much overnight, as you've got a briefing with the Secretary of Defence tomorrow morning, 0700 sharp.
