I forgot to mention something in my original post, namely:
I hope that, if you become official, someone will continue RPing the character "Rorry" in case Veygaar at some point in the future decides to stop RPing him. Mostly because this faction revolves around that one character and it would be a shame for an official faction to fall apart just because of that.
Didnt see if this was mentioned anywhere, so there.

Once I commission and go active duty with the Marines this will have to happen. It's two more years down the road and I'm already looking to evolve the concept of "Rorry" from a mere man, to an ideology that the members follow. And even a possible candidate to carry on the name in-game.

I really want to add something constructive...but I've never come across a RR in space. I spend too much time in the Taus or something. Although, if you are busy shooting Gallics I'm surprised Gareth hasn't come across you yet.
Your presence on the forums has been good, and definitely interesting to read when I decided to sit down with some of it.
So best of luck with the request. I'll have to join the chorus about the Scorpion. It's one of those unfortunate things where if Rorry can do it, than so could insert long list of names here including Order, Liberty......and so on.
And Veygaar...thank you for making Rorry so famous here my character Gareth Silves shall forever be the look-alike. I started using Major Sharpe (Sean Bean) as an avatar around the same time you started with Rorry in the QCP forum. I'm not going to bother tracking who was actually first...it's funnier this way .
Future plot hook perhaps :P? Especially considering the names (Santiago/Silves) have potentially similar origins (Spanish/Portuguese).
Seby used to use Sean Bean aswell, guess we all have look alikes in the universe of Sirius no?;)And thanks for the compliments.
As for the Scorpion-Hybrid thing. I say if any other faction wants to put in the work the same as I have, then I see no reason for them to get one as-well. The difference is, I actually stuck with it and put in the hours and hours of effort both ingame and here on the forums, working with countless different players and doing a ton of person research.
If any other faction wants to do that kind of work for one single ship, they deserve it and more power to em I say.
As one who is a former member of the Renegades, I'm glad to see you go for it and wish you the best of luck.
I was away from disco for a month and a half for RL issues, came back and found that I didn't like many of the changes in the RR, so I left the faction. When I joined it was a fun little pirate group with its focus on role play over pewpew, even if we did get quite a bit of the pew. On return I saw it getting away from that, with the focus on blue messages for the sake of blue messages, and tech tech tech tech.
Since I left I've watched as Caleb has taken the bull by the horns so to speak and worked hard to build up his group. There's been some growing pains and in some cases a LOT of growing pains. Will it ever be that fun little pirate group it was when I first joined? No, it wont', but it has grown a lot and improved a lot, and hopefully matured a lot.
I've experienced the RR as a member and as a victim of its piracy, and as a target of its mercenary wing. Over the last year I've seen many changes, some for the worst, (most have been fixed) but overall the recent months show it coming together. The RP has improved, so has the separation between the mercs and pirates.
So, basically, good luck Caleb. I wish you the best and support your move for officialdom.

I like the role play notes you made regarding both the pirate and merc segments. I know that you've had that for a while, but am glad to see that you have it at all. Separating the segments in game is a key issue and I'm glad to see it's covered.

You might want to move the Mollys from Neutral to unfriendly. Past relations have been somewhat disjointed and I'd measure it as about -5.5, not red enough to shoot but insufficient for docking. Until enough RP is done to correct the past issues, I wouldn't quite cal lit neutral.

Quote:(note: All Zoner, AFA, and Borderwold technology will be removed from our ships if we go official.
Interesting. Is this due to the nerfs in .86 or a due to a change in the planned RP?

I do disagree with the SRP ships, however. I don't see the RR as having the facilities to build, repair, or maintain a scorpion when the houses, Order or Core have been unable to do so. I also don't see the RR using cruisers for similar reasons. The pirate ID as the main can't use them, and I don't see them being usable by the merc wing. BHG capital ships for instance are highly restricted in their us (no system with a jump gate).
So, a few comments, a few questions, but overall, I wish you good luck!
