That looks like it'd make for a great bomber. If you were gonna use that to replace the Roc I'd be all over it.
I'd also be all over a new heavy civilian gunboat. But it doesn't look anything like a gunboat.. Too much wing, not enough boat. Plus I don't think we need any more ships that look like the eagle.. My opinion

The whole line is designed that way, so we should preserve the concepts.
I'd be on it as a light(er) gunboat; Ahoudori is fat and slow.

Preserving the line as you say works great for faction ships. But we're talking civilian here. It seems to me that their designs and origins should be varied and numerous, befitting the open market that spurs their design and manufacture.
About balancing - I'd say it'd be nice to have this vessel follow the hessian gb "path" - high agility, low powercore, high forward firepower (5-6 guns), very bad rear firepower. (3 guns) (that fits CTE ship philosophy as well, afaik?)
Imo, would fit it pretty well. The question would be deciding on it's powercore - 40k won't allow many House Corps to effectively use their house guns on it, while 50k might make it OP due to agility and firepower. But, I hope balance team would do a good job with it.
And yeah, a great design. Too bad we'll have to wait till 4.87 q_q
I like the idea.
The models seem fine, even if they look almost too closely like the Eagle. There is just not much to work with, so I can understand that.
Somehow - except for the wings - I prefered the first proposed model, Post #42.
The second one isn't bad, but it's too close to the eagle.
For a gunships it also seems quite large, but that shouldn't be a big problem.
