Never-before-seen Disco trivia: if Sirius was a black hole, The Nonsense Factory would lie at the center.
No, I'm not being funny. It's at the gravitational center of the mod because it's so far away from everything else. When I was pricing Toxic Waste, I had to toss out that shipyard and the DSE base as starting points for the commodity's pricing scheme because they were minutes further away from the next furthest bases from Wuppertal and caused prices everywhere else to be several hundred credits higher. Toxic Waste uses Fort Severn as the starting point (at 10 credits), but Nonsense Factory is 6 minutes further out from Wuppertal than that (and 4 other guard system bases elsewhere are treated similarly). That would add 810 credits to the purchase price of Toxic Waste everywhere else, if Nonsense Factory was the starting point.

Because there was no quality control. Else Cassini would not exist.
...Isn't this new Cassini added in 4.86? And weren't you aware that Cassini had problems in 4.85 when the same faction made it as a super-awesome NPC farming center?

The NPC farming issue was the result of Commodity Prices in that system, and the cargo of the ships found in the adjacent system. These were both adjusted.
As for Cassini itself, I believe a few names were changed and maybe some cosmetic changes, but the design is near the same as that in 4.85.
I also dont like it. If you look at the map, the bases seem to be at a distance of about... well, 10k. but due to being elsewhere above and below plane, its 70k between them. I think, mapping that without having them on scanners is pretty much annoying, and not even fun for explorers due to all the asteroids. Flying along someone who has them mapped already makes that easier.
It's on the list for a redesign (with a "slam all bases back to the base plane" action included). Tempted to have that badly reconstructed LiDread blow up.
[edit] And that system did NOT have 2 elliptical nebulas on top of eachother in 4.85, Dabs. It was redesigned.

I can live with above/below plane.
I can live with radiation, low sensor range.
I can live with badland rocks.
But all 3 in 1 system is just wrong.
[11:53:01 PM] Sindroms: Um, guys...the final system submissions for 86 were closed a long time AFTER I had been removed from the LR by Nighthawk for being quote 'useless'. So whatever changes were made to Cassini at the time were not mine.
My submission was to have the rogue guard ''system'' to be moved to the Badlandso. The guns and armours and such, at least. It is the largest pirate base in Liberty after all. So yeah...
Hey...Someone else felt that way! I thought it was only me who raged about the system (in Skype...poor IMG chat)!
Seriously needs a big fix.
But anyway...I just found a certain base which is 300k above the plane, but that one at least has something near it, which makes finding it quite easy...
I had a rogue in 4.85 also. And that system was majorly redesigned. And not for the better. Atleast in 4.85 you could spot the bases. Now they are all farther above and below planes. Have radiation fields blocking scanners, and a cloud you cannot see through. I have mapped all but 7-8 systems on various chars since 4.86, and Casini is by far the worst system in the game right now.
I understand make it harder for those who do not belong, but it is dam hard for anyone trying to be a rogue. Unless this was the "Official" factions plan. Make it so only they can lead Rogues to bases, and keep out all others.
