Mendel examined the form as he walked around his table.
"Sit," he commanded. "Tell me the three things that every revolution must accomplish before it is truly a Communist Revolution?" he asked, sitting himself.
She sat down, thinking for a few seconds. "The first thing is freeing the suppressed people, the workers and the poor. The next is the removal of those that suppress them. And the last is the establishment of a righteous, equal society, one with freedom, equal rights but also obligations for everyone. Thats what should be accomplished in my opinion." She sighed after finishing the sentence, waiting for the Commissars reply.
Mendel sat upright, "What... no muppet answer about revenge, and blood lust... and righting the wrongs of this or that unjust thingy... You actually gave me an intelligent answer..." He blinked. "This is... unexpected. Tell me... if I slapped you across the face right now... what would you do?"
She looked at him and started to smile slightly. "It depends on the reason for this slap I guess. If I would deserve it for what reason ever, I would live with it, not doing anything, because I knew that I deserved it. But if you wouldnt have a justification for it, which you in my eyes dont have at this moment, I would return it."
She picked it up and looked at it carefully."I think this is an animal, but Im sorry, I think I never saw something like this before." She put the picture back on the desk, but as soon as it reached it, she picked it up again. "Is this is a sheep? My father always told me stories about it. That people sacrificed young sheep. And... he also told me that its a symbol. Some humans can be seen as sacrificial lambs, because they risk to loose something thats has a lot of worth for them, to give something else to others. For example... their life, for another persons life. Yes... I think thats how he always explained it."
Vitali saw a woman walk out of the recruitment office with a wide smile on her face. 'Let's hope you leave happy too, or at least alive' he thought to himself, while walking towards Secretary Alicia. 'I am Vitali Kir, here to see the Commissar' he said to the lady behind the desk and, knowing it may be a long wait, he sat down on one of the chairs thinking he will finally meet the man he had heard so much about
