I think my concern was Omega 41, where there are just as many Corsairs as there are in Gamma there. The HAF, one of the Corsair groups, blocks jump holes there frequently and word has it that they have itchy trigger fingers.
As for Gamma? It shall be avoided. One suggestion, I would suggest keeping a watch on things around FP9. With less Zoners making food runs to Crete, that area might look tasty to them. If anyone needs some credits, I can help. We may need them to beef things up.

Well, that's comforting, if rather a "pipe dream"...
However, Kyte, your comments merely reinforce my decision to assign you as "Temporary Autonomous Delegate" to the CoZ. You will be our "TADpole", at least for now.
Of course, it's all moot if no one steps forward to assume the Chair, as Dis will NOT be returning to take the job.
Meanwhile, traffic is getting heavy in Baffin, and there seems to be a rash of cabbages who haven't a clue how to behave in the presence of Goddess, let alone that the TAZ own the place. (That little munchkin *War*Emblem* is a prime example..)
Therefore, I'd like to see more patrols in Baffin, and as they're proximate to our joint, we'll offer our services to the Council in monitoring Freeports 6 and 10 as well. (This might also soothe the poor Corsairs' furrowed brows regarding "favoritism" in our efforts to enforce the NFZ's..)
Now, we won't make our "guests" recite the Pentabarf chapter and verse, but it would be nice if folk at least asked for permission before docking at Shasta. This goes especially for those Zoners who contend they have a "right" to dock on Shasta, as they're our "fellow Zoners". We reserve the right to refuse service to ANYONE, INCLUDING "zoners" who can't be arsed to get the proper IFF.
Any questions? Speak up! I may be in "full control", but I ain't infallible.
Thanks, Doc! I was scratching my head on that for a moment. My original position still stands, however, I am sure if I am incorrect, Mal will clarify. Near as I can tell... Gamma would be the only system to avoid, when referring to what is Corsair space. It decidedly is, Crete is their home world. Thus, this would seem reasonable. Regarding any other system that shares other installations, if we have a base there, it is decidedly NOT claimable by any one faction. We conduct our pursuits as normal.
True, extra flax should be made available, as I expect taxing shall be the order of the day, but a bright disposition and a willingness to proceed through normal protocols shall indeed, be more desirable than a loss of time, freight, or life. I am willing to kick some flax over to any in need as well.
In so far as TAZ is concerned, Mal will speak when he feels the need, we shall all simply follow his lead and carry on. I see no further issues beyond what we've discussed. Of course, I will also keep alert for any and all emergencies as they arise.
I've decided to find wisdom in a glass of prune juice, myself, I hear tell a few folks out there enjoy the effects. I shall report on my own findings.
I have been asked, by my Leader to assume the TAZ Delegate position, at this time. I am both humbled and honored that he has placed his faith in my abilities to serve in this capacity. Therefore, I shall accept the responsibility gladly, with the intent to represent my fellow TAZ members in the Council. My purpose made clear by act of a wisdom greater than my own, I can and shall obey wishes of my Patriarch, with an eye toward the Goddess and an ear poised to hear clearly so that my voice be a true reflection in the service of the council. I remain solid in my commitment to the those who have entrusted a simple primate with such faith.

We are undergoing some engine repair at FP9 due to an incursion with Nomads as we were leaving Omicron Kappa. We will be underway soon. Once we are, we will make our way to our home world of Baffin. See you then.

We have arrived at Shasta with a load of H-Fuel and a large supply of Blood Wine. We will be here monitoring traffic through the system and awaiting further orders.
I will begin patrols with the Wanchu and continue getting the blasted IFF fixed to honor Guard. I found a HUGE bottle and well, I couldn't resist finishing it off. Basically it left me well incapacitated and even I didn't dare fly in that condition. I've word that Nasrudin is en route to Freeport 9, I'll try to forward the latest on the situation in Crete. He probably has no clue. I'll be in better contact as I've taken a hienous from the bottle for a little while to let my body repair itself. Might need a new liver, but if I do I'll get it on Shasta. Maybe take one from a passing mannerless bug.
Be advised I will keep a look out for the past transgressors in Baffin and if anyone would like to add to the list feel free to send me a note. I will be dispensing a local justice and lessons for the uninformed about our status and the Laws in Baffin. Call me the new constable. I've been needin a steady focus for a bit, I'll call home guard it. Bomber still available from Canaria as needed. I'll try not to be too harsh, and even stick to using one Mortar at a time while teaching the hordes. *Wink*

A fairly eventful day in Baffin. Lots of trading, mostly passengers and AO's going through. Cid's Claw and my crew dealt with a fella named Hotow. He had no ID and we pressured him to getting one. He then took off.
Also assisted a Kelley with providing info on fixing their IFF issues. Doc also assisted a Cipriano in aquiring a Discovery Scanner. He didn't know where Canaria was to get one and so as not to reveal it to someone we don't really know, Doc delivered it.
Beyond that, not much else to report. I'm still moored at Shasta for the time.
I'm currently stationed in Theta, having discovered that I do indeed like prune juice. Things have been fairly quiet, THANK the Goddess and I've only had to deal with the occasional drunk. A nice change of pace, I might say. Kyte is on Honshu taking a bit of a break from trading and speaking with our baby sister, Mynx. We have not spoken to her in quite sometime, and it was great to catch up. When we last saw her, Mynx was engaged to a deep space explorer with a slippery smile and an questionable disposition. Needless to say neither Kyte nor I approved. Mynx has been out in the black for nearly a year and except for the occasional message to let us know she's out there, We have not seen her. Kyte did actually get to spend some time with her on honshu. So if you guys see Mynx, give her a hearty hello. She'll be the girl flashing Zoner Guard tags, but she is not TAZ. *smiles. Which from a tactical standpoint, might be a good thing. She is sympathetic to our cause and respectful of our beliefs.
In other news. Kyte and Mordrom have celebrated yet another anniversary. I wonder when that pirate is gonna make an honest woman of Kyte, but I bite my tongue, knowing she's just crazy about him. Mordrom and I don't always see eye to eye, but I do respect the old scallywag. He does take excellent care of my sister.
I'll be in the Theta system keeping an eye on things so do call if needed. We have much to do and never enough time to do it in. Such is life.

Cidd! Good to see you back in the saddle, my old friend. It would appear your current disposition is well-disposed. Your heineous hiatus is noted. Meh, we all need to get snockered on occassion.
Mama Dis, Sophie, and Kyte: Recent events regarding the "myth of fingerprints", as Saint Simon called it, may prevent you ladies from fulfilling our long-standing contract with KNF or awhile. It appears that LPI's Chief Myers has finally made the myth a reality by acquiring the deed to their nice little system of Illinois..
Of course we can still supply the needs of Matsue base, but until I've had the opportunity to grease some palms, and/or bend some ears regarding our own "fingerprints", proceed no further than Oita. If Chief Myers and the LPI's new patrols are amenable, perhaps you can resume shipments to Springfield and through Illinois at a future date. Until then, please respect LPI's wishes, which surprisingly are even shorter than Bafflin's own Pentabarf.
Eris is pleased with you all. Continue your ministrations to the cabbages, honor the Chao, and have a ball out there!
