Can a Kempetei destroy a Universal shipping id/iff hauling Engine Components?

I bought the cargo at Yokohama Shipyard. When I got to The NT, Shikoku gate I met a Kempetei id player that told me to drop my cargo. When I asked why they said they had orders and they had to follow the. I then asked why? Which the reply was it is not my job to explain why.

I then told them that Kusari is not at war with Liberty. Which apparently is not the case according to them. He could not talk about the details but he had his orders. I said surely this would be big news. To which I had no response.

They then started shooting at me. So I went through the gate to Shikoku. Where they gave me 1 last chance to drop my cargo and I refused. Then got destroyed.


Have I missed something massive and a war has started between Kusari and Liberty?

If I did not miss this. Does this player have the right to start the war? (I don't mind writing the report about what happened if Kusari is going to war with Liberty. I would have thought that would have to go through the admins/mod makers 1st though.)

Your input and opinion would be of great interest to me.

Kusari is establishing an embargo with liberty. Plutonium, Engine Components and etc. So, take Zelot's opinion;)

There is a current embargo for the cargo you were trying to ship to Liberty. According to the screenshots I have received from my operative, you refused to drop the cargo on behalf of his order.

In short, no. Their ID prevents them from doing so.

Engine components are not contraband, except when going into the Taus. At least, that's what the rules and Discovery GC wiki say.
