"I would try to explain them their mistakes. Show them that their way is wrong. Human being is a selfish person. We believe that our truth is the truth. Words are weapons that can be often much more useful than a ship lasers.
But when the words fail the time for guns comes. History is written by the victor. But friendship is about trust. If he believes in something diametrically opposite he cannot trust me as much as I cannot trust him. Such a friendship then can't stand. But I believe there is way to convince them that what they believe in is wrong."
Ian stuck his head in the door. "Did someone say tazer-flogging? Ooh, can i watch? Everyone loves a good tazer-flogging."
He strolled over to the receptionist's desk and handed a packet to Alicia. "Here ye go, dear, please pass these along."
He dropped into the nearest chair, popped open his briefcase and began to clean his pistol, whistling a gay little tune.
gone four years, first day back: Zoners still getting shot in Theta :|
After finishing his paperwork, Yuri walked over and handed Alicia the packet, which had fresh blood drops on it. He, then, adjusted his bandage and sat back down.
The man who had walked into the office earlier cocked an eyebrow at the sheer violence. But it didn't phase him, he was still confident, still somewhat nervous - although not noticeably. He closed his eyes, holding his hands in his lap clenched tightly into fists as he took a deep breath to relax. After a moment, he released his hands from their fist, returning to his stoic expression of indifference.
He was of asian descent, judging from his slanted eyes and features. He was broader though, indicating a mixed lineage. He reopened his eyes, looking around the recruitment office in interest and studying each of the guards and Commissars. He was trying to judge how quickly he might get killed if he chose the wrong answer - he had a feeling it'd be pretty quick. Just seeing the amount of people killed today alone was obvious enough for him.
But again, his confidence was high, something he figured he might need to get out of here alive - that, intelligence and knowledge of the Coalition. He had a good feeling about it. His ancestors were Coalition-Chinese after all, he had been told of his lineage, of the Coalition. Although his knowledge wasn't quite up to date on the Sirius' Coalition's history, it would no doubt help.
Rhade was bored. Having had enough of the recruits, he decided to put a little music on over the Recruitment Office Speakers.
After listening to the music, he felt ready to take on some more recruits. Of course, at the same moment he realized he hadn't yet expended any bullets inside anyone yet.
"Alicia, I want another recruit. Warn them to leave right now if they're muppets."
