Sorry that i'm not available to give a pure reasonable reply to what you said, but this came at my eyes :
Quote:I also take issue with your claim to Freeport 11, and thus your role play around it. Cam's character is the supported administrator of Freeport 11. He is supported by all three official factions along with other indy players. I have no problem with someone wanting to role play the admin of a Freeport, so long as it is a freeport someone else isn't already role playing the administrator of.
When we mentioned "Oriport" instead of "Freeport",there was absolutely no intention to claim it as our own.Which,by the nature of things, would be impossible.A freeport is a free port, after all.We called it like this in what was merely a joke, because that's the place for the Ascendants to spawn usually.
How you came across the idea of us claiming the Freeport for ourselves, now that's an issue i am unable to comprehend.Or maybe there was something more in this than what i already know ?

I speak here as a player, not as an Admin or a faction leader.
Daedric summed things up for me quite nicely. There is a reason why the OSI, TAZ and the Omicroners are official Zoner factions. We worked at it and we earned the priviledge. Notice that I said Priviledge.
You managed to make enemies with the Bounty Hunters, Red Hessians, SCRA, and you managed to anger us Zoners. I find it entirely too convenient that twice you destroyed another Zoner ship. One you claim was instigated by the Zoner, the other "an accident." You even used Order ships without any sort of request.
I think you all represent a group of mercenaries more than you do Zoners, possibly Corsairs. Even the Corsair factions in this server RP with Zoners more often than not but I mention Corsairs due to the enemy list you have made for yourself. Maybe those are a couple of possible avenues that you should explore. I personally don't feel that you are fit to RP a Zoner. Your actions have proven that.

Players in the community have characters that RP the administrator of a Freeport and for the most part, are supported by the factions. Cam you know about. Before you go laying claim to a Freeport, perhaps you should ask around? Do keep in mind that each Freeport has it's own RP due to location and the various houses and groups around it.
Quote:I think a big part of this was the fact you were skirting Zoner RP just enough to get by. Zoners are not as aggressive as you play them. Sure we'll throw our economic/political weight around if we have to, but we don't park a fleet of cap ships somewhere and declare war. Especially on groups we'd have no chance of winning against.
/signed.
Quote:For example, Liberty. Liberty should have made a big deal about you blowing up some of their cap ships and stationing two Jinkusu in Penn. Your actions were that of a terrorist. Liberty should have made sanctions against Zoners, which would have meant the Zoner factions would have had to do more forumlancer in order to keep their respective factions role play intact.
I'm glad this didn't happen......again. I've already been through it once with the late Harcourt.Fenton.Mudd!!
I'd also like to address the RPing of a Zoner, an RP that I think is the toughest in the server. (Add due respect to everyone out there as I intend no offense) A lot of major faction players also have a Zoner somewhere. I'll furnish you a list if you want but those players will tell you that it's a whole different style of play. Can we PVP? Sure we can! But it's not our first choice of action! Remember that!
In recent times the Virulian Enclave has been searching for ways to spur activity within our faction. It was made to my attention that nothing spurs activity than a good ole war with another faction. What started as a simple attempt on our part to spur factional activity has allotted us to be observers to something we wished wouldn't have come to our friends within the Zoners.
I had pulled all the leaders of the various Zoner factions together into a single skype chat to discuss how we moved forward in regards to your faction. I simply allowed them to make the decisions since they were the Zoners, and we are just acting the part of the Guardians of Gran Canaria. What I saw ensue in the communications between each of them was a constant state of not only annoyance, but also sorrow for the fact that they now had to play fix-it on a lot of things that were committed.
I've made the comment once or twice that your actions and policies of "shoot first, ask questions later", which can be paralleled with, "It's easier to ask for forgiveness than permission", has caused a destabilizing of the region. A region that just so very recently stabilized itself, to a degree, after the last fiasco.
Now, we, as in everyone that plays here, wishes not for players to leave this server and/or this community as long as they are having fun and contributing to the community itself. I've watched your RP within the Comms Channel and it is very good. You all adhere to the system quite well and I commend you for this. Also, I do commend you for the RP you've done is space, at least he limited times I've been privy to. Even that little tid bit in your Comms thread about being bastilled, I like that.
Yet, please listen to the leaders of the Zoner factions. They, as they have stated, have the sole responsibility of not only dictating the Zoner RP, but also maintaining it. They WILL help you, you just need to have open ears and an open mind. If you still choose to continue down the path after that, then what happens is then what happens.
I am [The_Angels]Mortis. If you need help regarding the rules, the game, or just need someone to talk to, feel free to contact me on skype or PM me.
If any of our actions really caused problems in whatever way for not involved players i am really sorry, that surely was not our intention.
We all try to have fun and RP zoners the way we think they should be. Most zoners simply try to avoid all kind of problems and stay out of any trouble even if it is directly affecting them. We chose to be different, to be another way of zoners, but it is not because we all like shooting (my only char is a diplomatic vessel).
We really think our way of behaviour is not so against the zoner way, it only is very different from the official factions.
The "snub craft" issue: Daedric you are right. We have one kusari luxury yacht, two (?) gunboats and all the rest are cruisers and battleships. not one fighter / bomber so far. Why is that?
Well one reason surely is that we (the core of us) played freelancer since the beginning of 2005 on a PvP server.
Believe me we know every little screw of an eagle and we did not come here to keep on flying them.
Having these huge ships gives a complete new feeling to all this. They look just great.
The other point is the usage of bombers: i really dont want to offend any bomber pilots now, but 5-10 bombers shooting on one battleship just to kill it after 10 minutes or more is...from my point of view...poor (did not want to say pathetic).
Why using 10 ships when the job could be done with for example two big vessels in 1-2 minutes?
But every member is free to choose if he likes to have a fighter or bomber so maybe one day there will be a little ori :D
I think we need to discuss what we are doing with all our members and maybe you are right and zoners is just not the right thing for us. Yet i want to say again we really did thought about us and zoner roleplay and we did not find it completely wrong.
on behalf of the whole leadership of the ORI i hereby please the admin team to release all ori vessels from Bastille.
Planet Gran Canaria would be nice.
The ships will be retagged with the proper IFF and sold.
ORI as faction will be dissolved.
As Order| leader I would like to inform everyone that Steve Uzi was an new member, recruit, and wasn't fully accepted within Order|.
This was second mistake that he made, and if I may add nasty one, where I decided he does not belong to Order| anymore with such behaviour. I asked him to lose Order| tag on all ships, where he confirmed he deleted those chars.
I'm not claiming you did it on purpose Adria. I'm simply saying that, that is one of the things that annoyed the Zoner factions leadership. I also made the point that it isn't always a bad thing, sometimes such events are a good thing. The problem we had with it was the sheer level of mischeif your bunch caused. Thankfully the factions involved didn't feel the need to make much issue with your mischeif.
As for the matter about using smaller craft, most on this server view cap ships as role play devices rather than instruments for PvP. By only using cap ships you make role playing with you annoying. An example is the SCRA you destroyed near Freeport 5. You used two detroyers from what I gather. Exactly why did you need two destroyers to kill one ship? You could have merely used one, or better yet you could have been in a smaller craft and made the PvP encounter fun for that SCRA pilot too.
That is my point, you remove the other sides fun because they have no chance in winning because all you fly is cap ships. Am I saying lay down and let them win? No. Absolutely not. I'm saying instead of always flying cap ships, mix it up so you can make the playing field even when it needs to be made even.
As for the SCRA and the BHG attacking you? Could it not because you provoked them? You ordered a Hunter to leave Freeport 11 for no reason, then destroyed him when he asked you why he was told to leave. He was in a Mako, you used two Jinkusu. Again, instead of giving the other side even the smallest chance to have a fighting chance, you overwhelmed them. I'm not entirely sure why the SCRA went after you, but as with all the other factions you interacted with I'd bet you provoked them in some way.
I think the main problem is you came from a PvP server simple to fly cap ships. You choose this server due to its high player count. Which I completely understand. Why join a PvP server that has no other players? Problem is, you choose a faction whose role play is not to PvP unless it is the only option left to them.
