So, shooting rocks somehow makes people f1 and scream OOC?
There is NO problem that can`t be solved by the use of high explosives.

Yeah, and we can pvp on forums instead of in-game. Use your imaginations!
I slowly charge my laser, it's hot and red...
Sounds like lolwut trader to me.
Yeah, moving the same goods from one point to another time after time, with no price changes of anything, it's totally more RP.
I'd prefer to pass a silly trader, than have a system ruined by 10 silly miners.
That second point just makes you sound silly, not going to lie.
Now your arguing and changing economy? We've had this discussion before in this economy, care to do it for us?

You would think not, unfortunately its true. We do get some excellent RPing miners, Kudos to those who have had their RP stolen from them, however majority aren't like that. So don't try and laugh at my comment when its actually accurate.
The entire point of mining is to add more variety and scope to the game and RP possibilities. Mining RP was very limited before the mining mod because it wasn't really part of gameplay. Mining mod made it a bigger part of gameplay, but its novelty and profitability attracted a lot of incoherent, annoying players who didn't know how to RP mining properly.
Yes. This is true. We get it. Stop harping on it. Take the good with the bad.

You've just reinforced my entire argument. Thank you. :D
Mining, just as trading and any other activity on this server has it's roleplay potential. Making tons of cash is just a "bonus". Personally, I couldn't care less about why one plays his role ( I mean for the cash or for the roleplay per se) as long as he plays it.
Undoubtly, there are miners who don't play said role, but, as someone pointed out, they'll be back to not playing a role in no time, somewhere else.
Turning mining off doesn't solve anything, as the same player who was a lolwhut miner yesterday, is today a lolwhut trader and will soon be a lolwhut bs captain. See the pattern?
The system ain't the problem (it could use some tweaking, but it's not disco's most major flaw) rather the people who inhabit it.
