Alright. I found something. This report, is filed by a Freelancer IDed Eagle. [FL]Thexter, the Eagle in that picture, is a Freelancer IDed Eagle. I thought the Rheinland Military had to be the faction which had to Faction Right 5 me.

This is the only thing about my character anywhere on the forum. Nowhere is there any kind of explanation as to how the Rheinland Military came into the possession of this information, who this Freelancer is, or why he is giving this information to the Rheinland Military. There is just a screenshot from a Freelancer Eagle, claiming to be an official Rheinland Military officer in the Rheinland Criminal Database.

I call foul. If I am mistaken, I'd be happy to get enlightened, but I'd feel much better being FR5ed by the RM rather than a Freelancer Eagle.

[FL]Thexter is a freelancer employed so to speak by the [RM]

He works for us in exchange for the right to use RM guns and such.

If you want evidence of this.. there should be a boatload in the RM message dump, where he has permission to post patrol reports.

The evidence was taken by a trusted freelancer, passed onto the RM, and action was taken.

How was this information passed on from a Freelancer to an RM officer?

How was this information passed on from a Freelancer to an RM officer?

Not sure. I wasn't involved in this case. Your best bet would be asking The_Major, as he was the one who posted the evidence in the criminal database.

One of my ships is in that list and it has a Smuggler ID. I thought smugglers have to smuggle things, right? Maybe a -0.9 would be better for a Smuggler ID instead of a -1 rep hack, which makes that ship useless.

Edit: the evidence against me only shows a cargo scan, so I understand that RM didn'y know I had a Smuggler ID

Quite frankly, if you'd like to spy, there's an ID for that. There is no explanation as to how the Rheinland Military knows I am a smuggler. A Freelancer IDed Eagle has just FR5ed me.

Now, I haven't tried searching the RM message dump for the word smuggler, but quite frankly.. I'm sure with somewhere over 1000 posts, one of them has to have the word smuggler in them. I think the search engine might be wonky.

No one from the RM spied on you. That person with the freelancer char doesn't have a RM char.. indie or otherwise. It was merely a freelancer working for the RM. Think of it like taking a long term mission from one of the battleship's job boards or something.. with less NPCs and more players (both the ones hiring him and the ones he is hunting).

You had artifacts in your hold and you were caught. If you really feel that bad about it you can just rename your ship (like criminals switching license plates and repainting the names of cargo ships when expecting to run into the coast guard, ya dig?) and do some missions untill your rep with the NPC RM good again.

As I said to bacon.. I didn't handle this case.. in fact.. I didn't handle any of these. If you could PM me the evidence though, and reach me on skype, I would be glad to work with you if you think the FR5 was wrongly done.
