I just started a Xeno character. Upon doing so I was having a tough time deciding which fighter I should be flying with this character. The problem with the question is that they have no ships of their own and have no allies. So my common sense told me it should be either a civilian, borderworld or neutral faction's ship.

Now obviously they shouldnt be flying any sort of Corporations ship or Lawful ship. But, what about about an Order fighter, or a Corsair fighter? They are neither enemies nor allies of the Xenos. Here are the ships I have been considering:

1. Eagle - Civilian (Sold at Zoner Bases)
2. Nepthys - Order (Sold on Toledo)
3. Stinger - Border World (Sold on Planet Kurile, dont remember its NPC owner)
4. Sabre - Border World (Sold on Red Hessian base as well as others)

Any thoughts on those ship selections?

I think the NPC Xenos stick to the civilian fighter line... Eagle would be their best ship.

I think a Xeno should not fly anywhere.:P

No. I really think a Xeno would fly what he can grap. Buyed, stolen or captured.
Means imho he could fly every fighter or freighter. O.K. maybe not all.

Straight deal: the xeno guards fly eagles, so the xeno players should as well. It's not a crappy ship, more agile than most.

When in doubt, watch the NPCs. Go with Eagles for your VHFs, Griffins for your LFs. DON'T use Griffin till next version. Its agility is somewhere around a Wolfhound's..

Well, in my humble RP opinion I don't think you should limit yourself with only the ships that Xeno NPCs fly. But should you fly any ship? No hehehe.

Something tells me that piloting an Order fighter sounds better than a Corsair one, I would also as you well pointed not use any lawful faction's ships. My hint, stick to the civilian/border world which are "neutral" ones. Even if other Xeno NPCs don't fly them, I don't think it will be out-of-rp.

But even an Order fighter sounding better than a Corsair one... well, I would not use any other faction ship. So, UNDER MY RP OPINION:

GREEN (very tolareted by me): Any civilian, border world or any other kind of "neutral" ship.

YELLOW (not much under my RP opinion but I will not complain that you are out-of-rp): Another pirate/terrorist faction ship that has no war with Xenos.

RED (out-of-rp in my opinion): Any lawful faction or a declared xeno enemy (rogues, etc.) pirate/terrorist faction.

the main thing is that you shouldnt go far to get it. xenos are limited to liberty.
