There won't be sub forums for anyone other than official factions. Yes it is "discrimination" as you put it, but this isn't Alabama circa. 1959. We have given factions officialdom for a reason.
Any official faction that loses status will lose its sub forum.
Players don't run bases. You can pretend to, but they actually run themselves (which is good seeing as not all players check the forum each day). I can equally say that I run Newark Station and feel aggrieved when I don't get a forum for myself. If there is so much co-operation between the zoner factions and non-zoners I can put you all into one section called Zoners or Freeports or whatever. The factions can have a sub forum each and they can let other folk post. Like I said, what they do with their forum is their own business. They can post pictures of their mothers beating camels with sticks for all I care...
Hours to find a thread? About what?
Watering Holes is linked on the main page under Stories and Biographies.
Prehaps I was too arrogant in talking about running bases, Your response is somewhat too. No Offense. But you know what I meant. RP RP RP RP.
Thank you for telling me where the Watering Holes have gone.
However you have failed to answer my questions.
Quote:So if you tell it's hard to navigate while you guys don't put any effort to make it easy you are not fair to yourselves.
Make thread with shared "Freeports" account for example with links:
Freeport 1 information and regulations
Freeport 2 ...
Freeport 3 ...
I have considered it, as you know yourself I run a faction, with severalk threads to it. However all those that rp the Freeports are not working together in such a way as that you would imagine. Freeport 10 for which I roleplay as its repersentative in roleplay likes to be away from everyone as much as possible, bar IMG, =CR=, Bounty Hunters and Outcasts. Initially setting up the base in Tau-37 to be the furthest away from Civilization. As placed on it's infocard. And being apart from the rest of the Zoners. I can't say for the rest of the freeports as I have only read the history as much as possible for the Freeport a group of players (all Indies) have appointed me to be 10's Council Repersentative. Each has its own unique roleplay.
If it was suggested of if we was to go further, by further I mean all those who run a Freeport in roleplay, was too get together and attempt to become Official. What single Tag would we use for the Admins so they can track activity. I doubt that there would be an agreed Tag for this purpose. Especially when each different group has there own tag, [FP5] [FP6] etc, and not all want a tag.
Then store links in google docs. Or in forum notepad. If you fail to track threads manually you can use "Enable email notification of replies?" function to be informed about new replies.
It's not admin's problem that you can't handle something that is completly in your hands to handle.
I can handle that, I'm not a complete idiot. But not everyone can. Not everyone one is you nor me.
Nor has my questions been answered. So I will make that much more simple that someone who can't recognise a well posed statement of Opinions, backed up by thoughts and reasons on why they think so, and having 3 questions put forth can answer what i am trying to find out.
1 Are Official Factions getting more perks?
2 How will the new forum layout make things clearer to people joining the game?
3 How will the new forum layout make it clearer for long time players?
4 If Official factions are getting more perks, what are there additional responsiblities?
5 If there is no additional responsibilities, what do none Official Members get?
6 Why is there need for two Message Dump areas? (As there is one in the forum, then there is one in each faction forum.)
I hope you can actually read that, and not just jump through text as you have done becuase you have still failed to answer my questions in full. Any educated person who actually read it would have been able to answer in full, not answer "Official Factions have there rights. Its always been like that." What do you take me for? A complete idiot. That maybe harsh, but thats what I'm getting.
So please read what I put not what you want to read. And answer in full. Thank you.
2. Simply put most get on forum after first sanction. And vanish away untill next one.
People who joined for the forum itself will find all official faction list in one forum and will see their main ZoI and will be able to read all important threads about interesting faction.
3. Time needed to adapt will take place. Long term surfers will adapt after time and the new layout will be once again memorized and easy usable.
4. It is not a perk. A convenient subforum to make everyone's time wasted well on reading important threads.
Official factions already have responsibilities such as uphold high quality roleplay, fair play and then take on the feedback that most of times are out of anger and not constructive ideas.
5. Official vs. Indie topics are dry and old. Not worth discussing for 100th+ time.
Different pros and cons.
6. Moderators are not here to please everyone by moving threads 24/7. When all MD's will be moved out subforum will be vanished.
