Are there any good trade routes through corona or baffin?
It's going to be used as an incentive for people to help out a roleplay idea me and someone else is working on.
Because I'm not entirely up to date on trading prices of buy/sell -ing spots, I'd like a few hints.
Rather, I'm hoping the roleplay idea could work out anyway, but as someone told me, and I agree, at least on here.
Money fuels roleplay and roleplay in turn fuels money
I'll look it up myself, but the help is appreciated.
Shasta Orbital Skyhook in Baffin buys things like counterfeit software, engine components, H-fuel, niobium, passengers, pharmaceuticals, synthetic marijuana, tobacco, and vacationers.
From Shasta, you can trade VIPs, tourists, and most notably, pineal amulets.
Coronado's got some stuff, too. But it's not generally used as a trade route. I'm not so sure about it.
In regards to Shasta, though, the TAZ don't like people docking at their bases without permission - they run the Baffin system. So be careful...
But I would like to see people going through Coronado some more. Might give me a chance to use that Zephyr of mine for what it was intended for - RPing as a corporation's flagship, stationed out of Coronado, instead of just using it when the (now thankfully rare) outcast lolcap shows up at Java.

Well as I remember it, it's pretty much just Pueblo Bonito that the TAZ don't like visitors at. Shasta's rather open.

Though things may have changed since I left.
You may be right. If you wanna trade in Baffin, Dratai, best to shoot them a message on the comms section first to make sure. If not, just run with it ingame - the TAZ are nice folks, and it's easier to ask for forgiveness than permission, after all. Not the best of mottos, but it works for some folks.
I thank you all for the cooperation and help you have provided me here.
I'm very grateful.
You see, the whole idea revolves a possibly very character driven roleplay idea, to a ridiculous level of the words, rather than the mostly situational ifs and whens that goes on the server. Though that would be quite likely, too.
But this would be a lot different than a pirate encountering you and just demanding some cash. Or an officer asking to scan you or to keep out of an area.
Of course, if we get it going, it doesn't have to be baffin, because it'll revolve around some sort of exploration and research vessel, and a barge/some fighters, holding in a system and encouraging traffic and interaction. This could be any non-core system, I suppose. But baffin seemed like a good, sensibel idea to start with, with the goddess geode there and all.
--This will most likely be a zoner vessel, too, or at least a neutral one. It's meant to trade research, not volleys of fire. xD
But this helps me loads, thank you guys.
I haven't decided on specifics yet, but this gets the ball rolling.
Once again. Thanks <3

Pueblo Bonito is *normally* red to everyone, so you couldn't dock there even if you wanted to.
It is also the 'Temple' for the Zoner 'religion' that I can't think of the name of right now, so asking permission if you plan to dock there is probably a good idea, otherwise I wouldn't worry too much about asking permission for flying around Baffin.
Shasta Skyhook has it's own special problems, the main one being that it is EXTREMELY close to the atmosphere of the planet it is over, so make sure you don't try to fly under the dang thing, entering the atmosphere is bad for your health.
If you ARE planning on docking at Shasta, the docking points are near the center of the station on one of the three towers.

Manual docking is highly recommended at Shasta.
I am aware, but the geode beneath the skyhook is placed lower than the mid-section of the map. and, as it is a skyhook, you probably wouldn't be docking a cap ship or anything. Which is why we'll involve smaller ships.
And we want the big(or at least the biggest present ship we bring) to hang around in a rather visible spot. So that problems don't arise due to placement and such.
Otherwise, Thanks for the advice.
I'd still like a sort of good to go from the TAZ or anything else nearby, though. Wouldn't wanna inconvenience anyone, I could always look for another system/anomaly/interesting thingie to place the 'operation' near.

Oh it doesn't have to be a big ship believe me.
My Border World Transport isn't the biggest ship around and as far as ships go, it is fairly 'shallow' height wise, but I *still* managed to get the 'entering atmosphere' message by letting it auto-dock at Shasta.
The auto-dock decided it would be a fun thing to pilot my ship UNDER the station to get to the docking point.
Good job I was paying attention.
