"It will be a rough landing... I dont know if my ship will hold together for it.." She shook her head, "take out the last of the fighters first, I cant do that under fire, it will be suicide" She was now just in range of the prison liner, engaging a heavily damaged fighter, it collided with her, exploding and setting Bonnie's ship ablaze."I got nothing, get fire extinguishers and whatever ready. I'm going to need it" she clicked the com microphone off "I just got to get close enough first."She muttered as she swung her ship around away from the prison liner, if the AI cruisers had the destroyers covered, she would have a better chance in the ship she was in then bringing it in to crash land, endangering everyone on the liner also. "Bloody hell, what the heck is going on??"A voice came over the com's. "Clyde.. is that you?" She swore as she just avoided a nuclear mine, before realizing the microphone in her headset was still on, she switched it off and started avoiding fire from the few remaining fighters who had just noticed she was there.
Maria walks onto the bridge, having still not changed out of her work clothes from repairing the Arson. Why is she turning away? she asked aloud, that ship isn't going to hold together much longer. Maria quickly surveyed the rest of the bridge, noting the cruisers in the distance and the new AI ship moving to engage them. Rufus, those destroyers hunt in packs, but they're weak individualy or if you can box them in, so you may want to try and get them between the intruder and the our remote cruiser. Just a suggestion...With that, she turned and headed out of the bridge towards the hanger bay to ensure whatever ships they had left were being properly serviced, and to borrow some acrdamine from one of the deckhands.
Rufus turns to Maria before she leaves. "P.A.U.L has it covered, Zack did everything he could to ensure the fact that 90% of it's hull is reinforced to the fullest. The rest is lightened up for agility." He turns back to the command console. "And clear the landing deck, save my Sabre. Bonnie's going to come in rough, and it wont be pretty if there's people in there."
Zack Blazer was at helm, manically manipulating the controls, redirecting power through circuits, preventing power failures and maximizing the firing ability of the intruder. "Yeah, if that ship was any more heavily armored it would have it's own pull." He barely listened to their conversation, but looked over to Rufus and said, "And I am not fixing /another/ wreck of a ship alone again!"
Clydes Falcata blasts our of Cali' hanger barely before the hanger bay doors were fully opened. He pushed that bomber as hard as he could towards Kyushu.
"That tart best not have done anything stupid!"he muttered to himself.
"Where are you guys? Where is my Bonnie?!"She pulled up her map and got the coordinates "Clyde! we are about 20 clicks down from the Tau-23 Jump gate, Kyushu side... Please be quick..." Bonnie lit another cigarette, one of her guns was shot off her ship as she closed the map. She clicked on the headset microphone Hull breach imminentShe swore, Clyde wasn't meant to hear that, none of them were, they knew she was in strife, but she had hoped they didn't realize it was that bad. She sighed and turned her ship around, towards the landing deck on the liner, "Rufus. Clear the landing deck, if it isn't already, now, my ship cant take much more of this... I have to land it."
The jump hole to Kyushu was looming closer, and Clyde sighed in relief at hearing his true loves voice.
"I cannot let her die"he vowed to himself
He jumped, and proceeded to the last known coordinates. In the far distance he could see a battle raging, and prepped himself for what was to come.
As he got closer, the enormity of the situation hit him like that rush of the H-wine."Holy mother of Athenian, three freaking destroyers?! My girl, you don't do things by halves now huh!"he bellowed into the comms
With his snac armed and locked onto the closest chink destroyer, he flanked to the rear right of it and began his attack run
"Clyde... Where have you been? Last I heard you had damn near killed yourself! .... And when have I ever done things by halv..." [color=#000000]She stopped mid sentence "Can someone get this freaking fighter off me!" Bonnie sounded panicked now, she didn't know how to deal with the situation. Normally she didn't care, but normally, the ships had escape pods fitted. She knew she couldn't take on the last fighter, she would be lucky to get her ship on the landing deck in one piece as it was. The ships warning alarm was blaring, telling her about the impending hull breach, the fire, and loss of equipment. This could be heard over the com's as she mumbled "I'm really going to need a drink or few after this.." while trying to avoid the fighters attacks as best she could, and dropping mines trying to throw him off. She was close enough to the Intruder to get away with a crash landing now, but still hadn't received word of the deck being cleared, Bonnie wasn't going to risk the life of the crew, and her friends for her own wellbeing."Rufus.. Any time now would be good.. Hurry.. please.."
Alex cursed at the sight of Bonnie's ship. He pulled his ship out of formation leaving the bombers to continue their onslaught against another gun boat.
In a moment he pulled up behind the last fighter and opened up. The figther broke off but it was too little too late. Before it could fire a single shot the ship burst into flames from Alex's continued attack.
"The cargo bay isn't getting much clearer. If you're going to land, do it now." Alex flew off calling another squadron to his wing to engage the newest batch of fighter's that had shown up.
Zack was already down in the bay, attempting to clear space. He had moved several ships, thanks to some spare people just laying around. The few meters of space he had cleared was not going to be enough, he knew that, she was going to hit something, and hard. He merely hoped the ship was salvageable after it all. "Come on! Move those ships, she is going to hit hard! I want more space cleared YESTERDAY!" That was when he heard it. "Rufus.. Any time now would be good.. Hurry.. please.."
Curse after curse flew from his mouth as he ordered the people on the deck around, unknowingly standing in the space that was to be used for the landing.
Over his transponder he contacted Bonnie "Hey, better now then never, I doubt you can go for much longer.... There is space on the deck to land, try your best..." He sighed, "And one last thing, please don't total the ship, you don't realize how long it takes to fix those things!"
