Zack got on the comms to Clyde "Clyde calm down, your barely able to fly after that coma. Bonnie's in the med wing, from what I can garner, is quite stable. You have permission to land, but take it easy." With that a ceaseless tapping was heard over the communications relays. "Oh, and tell her I'm sorry, she is a bit miffed with what I did. But I cannot come down, I gotta make sure P.A.U.L.'s at maximum efficiency."
A wave of relief came over Clyde once he got the news that Bonnie was safe, although a little concerned about the apology. "Since when do us folk apologize? Musta done something relatively bad..."
Clydes Falcata came in to dock, and the mess in the hanger brought his tension levels straight back up. One bomber was screwed, and it looked to be the newly commissioned Armeggeddon. There was what looked like the remains of a cockpit, and it dawned on him that that was the remainder of Bonnies ship."Holy hell, what the hell happened?!"
Clyde landed, and shut down his ship. The landing crew came and locked down his ship, and began the usual, well rehearsed procedures that replenishes and rearms returned vessels. A medical officer comes over and climbs the ladder.
"Mate, you better go see Bonnie. She is messed up. We've got her restrained as she got very violent, and you know what?"The medic smirked,"It's all your fault! Be prepared for a smack or three when she is let go."
Bonnie had arrived up in the medical ward, the guards un-cuffed her to get her onto one of the beds there, she threw a punch at one of the guards, hitting him somewhat below the belt, he fell to the ground. [color=#FF99FF]"Screw you..." She went to try and hit the other guard, With that, a quick thinking medic injected some sedative into her neck, to try and calm her down a bit. [color=#FFFFFF]"Thats two you have taken down, one more and its in the cells, got it?" Bonnie nodded slightly, not fully understanding what he meant due to the sedative starting to take affect. The guard still standing caught her when she collapsed, and lifted her onto the bed talking to the medics while he was securing her wrists to the side of it,"If I were you, I'd check her out now, and get that damn Clyde up here as soon as you can, got it? "The medics nodded, and got to work, calling out to the intern to radio the flight deck and find out where the hell Clyde was.
The flight deck PA speakers cackled a moment, and then a young female voice boomed out with earnest:
"Clyde, you've been ordered to the medical bay. Make haste and report to the head doctor pronto!"
The medic checking Clyde over gave him a baffled look,"Ya look good mate, I dunno what that's about but you best head up there."he said.
Clydes heart stopped. Cold fear took over as he instantly assumed the worst. That landing wasn't good. That landing must have killed her! He leapt from his seat, and took a step onto the access ladder. His legs felt like jelly and he was unaware how exhausted his body was. His legs couldn't hold him and gave way beneath him. He lost his grip and he fell backwards onto the medic, who had just picked up his kit at the bottom of the ladder. They both tumbled to the ground, and landed in a twisted heap. Some nearby flight crew came and assisted them up, and put Clyde on a hover-bed and navigated their way to the medical bay.
Bonnie was slipping in and out of consciousness due to the sedative, fighting to stay awake. The medics, and doctors were working on stitching up the gash on her head, and covering up most of the grazes, and re bandaging up her shoulder she had hurt in Alpha, and again now. In the times she was semi-awake she was pulling on the restraints on her wrists, calling out for Clyde. She was aware of the commotion around her, and the sounds of the doors opening and someone being bought in the medical wing. She cried out in pain as the doctor cleaned the wound on her head.[color=#FF99FF] "Please.. no.. where is he..."She managed to say quietly before slipping back into the sedative induced coma.
An hour or so passed before Clyde was fit enough to walk on his own steam again. He made his way to Bonnies room, and looked through the window at her unconscious body. He noticed her restraints, and chuckled to himself. He knew the strength in the girl and that would have been no easy task before the sedative would have been administered. Many nights were spent testing those muscles in a completely different way. The memories rekindled the love, a love he didn't like to display. A tear formed in his eye and he quickly shook it away, took a deep breath and opened her room door.
He walked to her side slowly, thinking of how close he was to losing her.
"My girl, what were you thinking?"He spoke to her softly. He took off the restraint from her left wrist, and gently lifted her hand. He bent over and kissed it, before placing it on her chest. He walked down to the base of the bed, undid her ankle restraints and then back up the other side and released her right wrist.
He sat down beside her and clasped Bonnies hand again until he fell asleep himself
It was hours before Bonnie had slept off enough of the sedative to finally wake up, and be semi-aware of her surroundings, in her groggy state, she panicked for a moment before she realized where she was, and that the restraints were gone. She went to touch her forehead not entirely sure as to why it was hurting as much as it was, and whimpered as she moved her left arm. She cursed under her breath as she realized she had probably sprained it again. Bonnie had a vague idea of what had happened, the fighters, and the guys saving her, she still had no idea how they had found where she was. Most of the crash was still unclear in her mind. She decided she was a fool for hurting herself, thinking for a minute, she decided she was a fool to have gone out in that ship, Just a fool in general. She shook her head as she remembered how Zack had let the guards take her, he wasn't going to get off lightly on that one.
It wasn't until this point she realized someone was holding her hand, sitting asleep in a chair next to the bed. She tightened her grip slightly, and attempted to sit up in the bed, finding it a bit of a struggle and more pain then it was probably worth, she gave up and made herself as comfortable as she could be. [color=#FF99FF] "Clyde..." She smiled slightly, before the tears came as thoughts of how close she had come to loosing him flooded back. "Clyde.. please don't do that to me.."She whispered,"I cant loose you like that again.."
"Zack apologizes. Apparently you were a handful? I saw the restraints." "Yeah. He isn't getting off that lightly.. setting them guards on me like that... Was told if I took anyone else out I'd be in the cells or something.." Bonnie shook her head, and then smirked and beckoned Clyde closer to her. He moved closer, she waited until he was well within reach before cursing at him, and throwing all her strength into a punch, hitting him in the side of the face knocking him back into his chair. "What the... what were you thinking, you fool! Scaring me like that! I honestly thought you were dead! I don't care who gave you that stuff, you should have damn known better, I almost killed myself because of you. Its not too hard to jump on a freaking radio and let someone know that you are o.k! You have no idea what you..."She paused for a second "You know what... forget it.. "She lay back in the bed, glaring at Clyde trying to make sense as to why he hadn't let someone know he was o.k, wondering how many girls he had been seeing while he was gone to have forgotten about her.
The strike came unexpectantly, and sent Clyde back into his chair. He was genuinely stunned that such energy could still be harnessed from the frail and beaten figure in front of him.
Then he smiled. This was Bonnie, this is how it was when Clyde played up. If she can still set him straight, then she is ok. That tart will fight to the end, no doubt about that.
Clyde got up out of his chair, rubbing his jaw. "Want a drink then, babe?"he asked her. She ignored him, but still glaring."Righto luv', I'll be back when you feel like love."
